Wow, this is so awesome! I have alot of very old pictures of my grandparents and great grandparents. My Grandma's name was Hattie as well. I am going to put my old pictures of them in my journal too! I love your awesome journal!

So happy to find this lovely journal idea! As I'm delving into my family history and want to keep my findings in a journal. Love the ring binder concept 👍👍

Fabulous! I did a similar thing for my Dad's 80th - doing a life story type ring-binder. He loved it and it was so much fun to make!

Julie, great journal! I enjoyed the wonderful graphics and especially how you had them really layered and looking 3~D. Beautiful job and great info, for your younger family members to look thru when they get older!

Your journals are always so beautiful and inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing and actually not making just a short video flip through. I love to see journals in detail.

I'm planning on making an ancestry journal. I'm collecting pictures and other things left to me. I like the way you put it together. A binder is a good idea. Thank you.

Thanks, Paulette! The nice thing about a binder is if you wanted to add another decorative page or something written, it would be easier to add it to the ring journal at a later time.

I just want to add a caution to adding original old folders to a journal like this. I would scan them and make backups, print those and store the originals in an acid-free album. I'm in the process now of re-doing an album that belonged to my late mother-in-law who had some of her old photos in one of those sticky backed albums. Those are the worst thing to have old pictures in (or even new pictures!). We all want to keep our memories for generations to come!
I DO LOVE the album though. There's just something about a journal with all of the colors and old ephemera that keeps you wanting to flip through it every time you see it. LOVE!
