You talking about wishing this was going on now made me think. I was around 18 when these beefs were happening. It was the age of torrent diss tracks. They we weren't getting uploaded to TH-cam. It would get put on a torrent site and then the song and rumor of it would slowly spread at first and then just catch fire. It was such a fun time

I was a sophomore/ Junior in high school at the start of the beef of Murder Inc, The Source, and Benzino.
This is one of my favorite Em songs. That last part is the most gangsta shit he ever said.

I like this diss because it's more mature and he sounds done with all the shit, he also attacks Benzino and Ja psychologically in a very different and amazing way, the rhyme schemes are also fucking crazy
Em being real about rap beef and you not remembering is normal Crypt, honestly depends on when you heard it first and where your mind was at the time. Think it hits home more now because you're doing it and part of the culture. Wisdom comes with correction, learning from mistakes and being humble enough to have others who know teach you. I see that humility in your character through your videos, stay blessed

One of the names you seemed to not know that Em listed was Bugz, who was a friend (and maybe early member) of D12 was killed over beef.
Bugs was attended a picnic and a man squirted a water pistol in he's direction so he spoke to the man and the guy went off on one which led to a fight and then to bugz death in 1999
Bugs was definitely a member of D12. He originally was meant to be a part of Devil's Night album but was tragically murdered before the album's release. There are early songs floating around the net of some of his work. He would have broken out if he was still alive. He is that good.

Man,this was such an awesome time being an Eminem fan,and the whole Shady Aftermath camp. It was also awesome that Limewire was around to download these dis tracks like this one,the Invasions 1-3,Hail Mary,Bump Heads,Doe Ray Me,etc. Another honorable mentioned dis track that he did with Xzibit and Nate Dog dissing JD,Say My Name
Another thing to add about the third verse. When this was happening Eminem was wearing a bulletproof vest at least in New York. Jay-Z stated this in a 2010 interview where he talked about when they met to do Moment of Clarity of Jay-z's 2003 project The Black Album.
During the beef in July 2003 it was reported that Eminem had hired six former CIA men security experts on the payroll last month at a cost of $100,000 each to protect him from gangland assassination attempts after the beef with Murder Inc got hotter and that he was shadowed everywhere he went by the former government agents and that he wears a bulletproof vest whenever he’s not in the safety of his home or car. The highly-trained CIA experts were are armed with Glock handguns and did safety sweeps of anywhere he’s going. They had also advised Eminem to install an electric perimeter fence, CCTV cameras and motion sensors at his Detroit mansion. Eminem's former bodyguard Byron Williams said Eminem is terrified after becoming involved in the beef with Murder Inc. Byron Williams said: “I was with Eminem when we bought his first bullet vest. He wouldn’t be caught dead without it. Slim is frightened, his people are frightened. He is running against big league guys. When hardcore gangsters say they’re gonna do something, they do it. And right now, they’re saying they want to kill Eminem.”

@@CorrionReap That was about Eminem but back then 50 Cent and the rest of G-Unit were known to usually be in a bulletproof vest and would even wear them while preforming and they also rode in bulletproof vehicles too and it was constantly said that 50 Cent traveled with a bunch of police, which makes sense since he was always beefing with people

Not sure if it was the same incident but Ja went on to diss Em and Dre and threatened to make a diss track on them if they got involved. So, it wasn't exactly like Em said "Fuck it, ain't got nothing to do today. May as well hop in 50's beef w/ Ja."

One thing about Em-- he's gonna find a way to write a diss track that appeals and is catchy even to someone like me-- a female white hip hop fan who is not into the dirt and beef in general. YOOO I just commented suggesting a diss track from the Jokerr against Hopsin and Funk Volume and you definitely need to peep that BUT I just saw where you mentioned how disrespectful it is to get on a diss track and just start singing an incredibly catchy melody instead of just rapping. And if you like it in Bully then you absolutely HAVE TO go watch Sidekick by the Jokerr too. Another song from his long beef with Funk Volume but this song is aimed at SwizZz, Hopsins best friend and fellow members of FV (SwizZz, his brother Dame, and Hop started FV together originally.)
Dude not only is it a fucking brutal diss track but the whole thing is done singing with one of the catchiest melodies ever and you're right, the combination of happy/funny/cheerful sounding melody and hardcore disses is such a potent and extremely disrespectful way to approach a song/subject like that. Growing up through this was certainly a time to grow up in, for sure! Who knew there would be an undefeatable white boy back in those days. Everyone certainly learned in this era.
I always loved this diss track cause not only does its proper purpose of dissing the people he is intended to attack but the melody and production is an ear worm. This is ashame that this track was originally meant to be on Encore with a few other tracks. It would have change the feel of that album.
PS: I dunno if you review "I remembered" it's a follow up diss to Everlast.

I Remember - Everlast diss!
Permenant Enemy by The Jokerr is one of my personal favorite diss tracks ever. He's going after Hopsin and also the rest of the Funk Volume crew as well. Jokerr and Hop were long time friends so the shit is super personal too. Shit goes hard AF.
And if you enjoy that one, then follow it up with Dead Horse by Jokerr where he addresses the whole beef they had and him squashing it. Again, hella personal and lyrically just as great but from a totally different perspective. It's refreshing to see beef ended and a friendship rekindled. Good shit.

Crypt em wasn’t heavy on the drugs ( besides weed) until proof died in 2006 this was released in 03 so he was still somewhat clear headed.
