  • Years after it's release, I finally get around to seeing Christopher Nolan's epic space adventure, Interstellar. It took me awhile to really get into it, but once I was my brain was firing on all cylinders...Until it was fried...
    I still have a headache.

    Fun fact.
Whilst on the water planet in Interstellar, a prominent. ticking can be heard in the soundtrack every 1.25. seconds. Each tick you hear is a whole day passing on Earth.

I think earth was doomed so they left to some space stations

I believe you were thinking of a loom. That's kinda what the inside of the tesseract first looks like 😁

Ok. That whole "bootstrap paradox" thing is WHY I love the show "Dark" so much on Netflix. It's just 3 seasons, and each one is better than the last. Please for the love of science go watch "Dark". (With subtitles)

Heh great reaction (would've loved to have seen the docking scene reaction though). Except, I never thought about it, but now I won't be able to watch the nurse laughing without getting pissed, so thanks for that. 🤣

Interesting note... The clicking you hear on the water planet represents 1 day

Probably my favorite movie of all time for a MYRIAD of reasons. Funny you bring up thread...I think you were thinking of a loom and if memory serves me right...I think the Greeks had a mythos relating to fabric and thread in relation to time itself.

So the movie actually does indicate that infact there is a 'they'. The 'they' are alluded as a highly advanced society. They're 5 Dimensional beings. They are 'us' from way too distant of a future where we have evolved as a race.
I would imagine for a 5 Dimensional being time , space (which are 4D parameters) and gravity are constructs of interaction instead of absolutes for us 3D beings.
Hence, why Cooper says 'I am here to act as a medium for them'. Becoz for them all of these parameters are like variables.
Eg: a conversation of a 5D being would be like "Meet me at this location at this time in this space (x,y,z, t,g) - (x, y,z) - coordinates , t - time and g- space or gravity".
Whereas we cannot control space or time. Our conversation is "meet us here". We cannot turn back time but 'they' can we cannot change 'space' but they can.
Edit: hence, 'They' put a wormhole there. Becoz for them it is possible to do it. I wonder if humans evolve so much are they even human beings ?
Kind of like ship of theseus.😅

To the Editor about the "Love Sucks" explanation:
    1) no, but Plan B would have been a success and Plan A would have failed, just as Brand Sr always intended it to. His lie would have worked and humans would be saved...on Edmonds only.
At least, until TARS and CASE finally kill the crew and enslave the new humans for their robot empire >:)
    2) If they made it to Edmonds first, they would still have enough fuel to do the Gargantua jump, and Coop could still send his message, which would also buy time for Murph and co to get off the ground faster + he could see BOTH of his kids before they died. This would have been a WAY better outcome for everyone.
    3) Dammit, Doyle >:(

In the same way we perceive space as our 3rd dimension, the 4th or 5th dimensional beings that are "they" perceive time and gravity as their 4th or 5th dimensions.
Because of this, they have the ability to perceive time the same way we perceive 3D space. We see a chair and can move the chair in three directions, along an X Y and Z axis.
When "They" see objects they can move them in that same space as well, but doing so also ages the object or makes it younger.
When we turn to the left our prospective of objects changes.
When "they" turn to the left, objects around them age and de-age.
The "They" are not aliens at least not in the traditional sense. They are Humans, years into the future, where we have evolved above our current plane of existence. In "Their" past, the same events happened Murph with her dads help solved gravity by traveling through the black hole and helped them advance as a species, so when their time came, they sent the wormhole that would lead them to the black hole and created the "library" behind Murphs bookshelf so her dad could manipulate it and ensure the future exists for humanity.
It's a paradox, a time-line with no beginning and no end.

As a (not that knowledgeable video editor) and animator. It would be easier for the US to send people to the moon than fake the landing. It's so ridiculous that people believe it was faked when anyone with some slight knowledge of video editing and cgi knows it was impossible at that time, and only became possible after 2000 (to make it look that realistic).

    • @Krogdalo
      @Krogdalo ปีที่แล้ว

Would probably have been more expensive to fake it than do it at that time lol. But people are being people. What can you do.
