Played my first mission, an attack in rainy woods against dug in Wehrmacht and a Stug IV. My first two commands of the game were Move Back! Move Back! 😀
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel Still getting the hang of the game flow, but I like the potential for generated narrative. Assuming I survive more than a couple of missions lol.
4 missions and you have yet to face a vehicle. My very first mission - Assault in Rain and I face a AC, a PzIV and a Halftrack. Artillery fire takes out the Halftrack, but the AC immobilized me with the first shot, causing me to button up, and wounding me, reducing me to 1 action a turn. While I did kill the AC, trying to kill a Hull down PzIV while buttoned up in the Rain and not being able to move.... Even if I get a hit, my pentration is only equal to armour so small chance of kill. I eventually quit as I got confused on several rules (things which I now see were clarified in Errata). I also saw in Errata, that I can bail out if immobilized, which I think would have been the smart option as I stood little chance of killing the PzIV and it had a much better chance of killing me.
A few hundreds missions later and I've now face and killed everything, including a king tiger!! You might want to give this game another try with the errata and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have!
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel I didn't mean to indicate I was giving up on game , just that first mission. The errata is definitely helpful. May not help my dice rolls though! :)
6:10 or so, when you switch a round, it goes in the Ready rack. You trade rounds from the rack not from storage. O. Switch Rounds. This command makes the loader unload the currently loaded main gun round and switch it with a round in the ready rack. This may be desirable if the current round in the main gun would be inappropriate or ineffective.
Haha! It's all fun and games until small arms fire injures or kills unbuttoned crew! Or a Panzerfaust finds its way over to you! 😲 And I agree! Booze can help that synergy in a close knit team!! 😄🍻🍻🍻🤢 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks Man!

Another great episode. Consistent with my experience that early missions can be pretty easy, until they’re suddenly not!
haha, true dat! Thanks Cory!
Following your campaign with great interest. I have a feeling that things will heat up very quickly.
Thank you! Oh yeah, it seems to be hard to escape a fiery end in this game!

Haha good choice 😂

+1 for your “fogs of war” moments. We all appreciate you respecting diverse perspectives and then sharing it-helps us all learn better.
Thank you Sir!

That's a weird rule! I stoped switching rounds, I now just fire the main gun and take the round from the normal storage.
That’s what I do. Fire it and then gain the previous target modifier
Good episode.....
Cheers Ian!
Lol that it's Robert McNamara for the fog of war comments
I have the game and the game on Steam called armored commander one person development similar
Armored commander is a 100% copy of Patton's Best! American Tank Ace is heavily inspired by Patton's Best, but much more streamlined.
Wow, didn’t know that, you do a great job on these videos, the best out there
