To my best knowledge and competition diesel's fastest manual trans diesel list, this is the fastest 6speed cummins time

Quick question. How were you guys launching the manual? Was he heel and toeing while riding the clutch to load it up first? Bridging both pedals w his foot and sliding over or something to mash the fuel? Or do you have some hand brake to apply? What works best? I have a 6-speed truck but I've never tried coming off the line that hard. I'm just curious. I don't think my valair single disk towing clutch would like the slipping much. Peace.
That is what I'd do, launch in forth gear, heal n toe, use the first stage of the clutch and breaks to load the turbo and tighten the driveline, my old 06 I staged at 4200, new compound turbo truck I only stage to 4k

UPstater5.9 manual cummins are always slower in drag races obviously because how close the gears are but they accelerate violently in 3rd-6th and pull way way harder than any built automatic because they don't loose hardly any power threw the trans don't roll race a stick shift cummins that's for sure

Clay Reid mines no 11 second truck by any means, but that's very true lol. Don't even bother with people from a stop light but after I'm in 4th gear it's over with

This truck is unfortunately no longer with us but we will still be out with different trucks for sure!

Those g56's when a girdle/ cage is around them are tough with the input shaft upgraded and someone that shift
I'm with you on that I would have thought it was an nv5600
I ran a best of 12.17 before swapping to auto. That was also before HP Tuners or UDC pro were available. I would have been 11's for sure! Nice runs.

I’ve been wanting to buy a RWD 4door or extended cab Cummins with a 6 speed as a fun daily driver. Wanted it to be about a 12sec truck. That would definitely feel and be fast enough for some street fun.
I have been looking into different traction/ladder bar setups for my truck. Really like both the caltracs and these glacier diesel ladder bars. Do you have a preference of one over the other? I see you have caltracs on your 05. My trucks an 06, stock rear height, tow/daily driver

That's a bad truck. I read the mod list at the end. Just to confirm this was with stock injectors, no aftermarket fuel pump or tuning/programmer? Would have wanted to see it go again with drag slicks. Great video, thanks for posting.
No no I just didn't post the fuel side, had stock dual pumps and maybe roughly 100-175% over injectors.
GREG_ALBERALLA That makes sense, thanks for clearing that up. Nice amount of fuel to supply that big turbo. Any tuning or programmer used?
Yes had EFI Live tuning in it
I think the tire slip probably saved the g56s case
What gear are you launching in? And what gear ratio is in the axle? Or what size tires? My 6spd feels so slow

Mans mission all the way. Be sick if someone built a sequential dog box manual for these trucks. The sequential manuals built for awd Nissan Skyline r32, 33 and 34 cars just kill drag and street legal times with flat foot no clutch shifts, only time you need a clutch is normal driving. Probably cost 30+ but bad ass having a stick shift still

full fueling to 4K and shifting at 4k I think if I remember correctly

I love this I have a 2008 6.7 cummins 6 speed and this is really awesome to see someone else tearing it up with a g56. Out of curiosity what clutch is this truck running? I am running the South Bend 3600 DD and pushing a little over 600 horse but I would be hard pressed to shift as fast as he is just because the DD I have is a little stiff lol.

how is he launching just dumping it or riding the clutch a bit before dumping it
dumping that much power would be wayy to stressfull on everything and probably break his drive shaft, he has a tripple disk clutch and unloads onto it which is how he created boost for the launch(you can see the smoke build up and hear the turbo spool right before he dumped it)
@@ERA_motorsports dumping it would likely flex that aluminum transmission and break the case after a few passes

Are you supposed to mount 420s two different directions?
I believe they just have a "inside" and "outside" mounting label.
My mistake, I've seen them mounted differently but now I think the other one was incorrect haha

ELDK305 They just aren't that strong. Their biggest weakness is the casting. I'm really not a fan of the Dodge transmissions though. I had a zf6 behind my compound turbo 12 valve and never want a Dodge trans again lol.

its a manual truck shifts at that pace and power level are brutal. most guys have a hard time keeping them together for multiple 12.5 passes
