This was the first song by VOB that I heard after I saw a report about VOB on German television ("Weltspiegel" - metal trio from Indonesia on the way to wacken open air). I immediately fell in love with this band. As an old punk I was thrilled by their appearance, the powerful music and the wonderful vocals and lyrics. I was sure that this would be an anthem of the female empowerment movement, but that didn't happen. Probably because the Americans and also the Europeans see themselves as the navel of the world and have no understanding for hijab-wearing metal musicians. Personally, I think that's a pity, because VOB deserves much more attention, not only because of the important messages, but especially because of the extraordinary, creative and wonderful music! Great reaction, Johnny, just as emotional as I react to this great band. Sorry for the somewhat long comment, but I had to let that out...
This is my first listen. They are both technically good and uniquely provocative. I'm here for it!! This is getting put on my "list of shit I sent to all my DJ friends." 💜
