$500 for that part? That is ridiculous. I have been watching your videos for almost a year now, and never occurred to me that you do everything with one hand. You are amazing.

Interesting to see how these slide outs work and how they are supported when extended. At least for the mechanical lead-screw design. LOL, now you need to video a repair of a hydraulically actuated slide out so we can see how those are constructed. Thank you for making this video!

I have a 2007 Monaco Safari 4slide . Bought it from my parents with 26,000 miles. Beautiful condition, had a real problem this weekend with what I think you would call whaling. What type of shocks should I install, hopefully to help with this issue?
Thank you so much for your channel.

I am getting the clutching noise with my 2021 5th wheel slideout, same as this video. When i try to manual slide it out, feels like it the socket wrench just binds up and doesnt let me move. Any suggestions why this might be? I was hoping to move the slideout out a little then try moving the slideout with the button but no bueno

I'm a tech and working on one of these for the first time. It's doing the same thing as this one. A couple questions: 1. When that motor is off, is it possible to push the slide by hand to determine that the problem is in fact the motor/gearbox and not the actuator? 2. If not, is there a way to determine it's the gearbox and not the actuator or vise versa? I'd hate to spend the money on a new gearbox and have it being an actuator issue. The rig is only two years old, but I also understand the RV world enough to know that anything can happen, it would just be easier to point the finger at the gearbox if it were older. And this one is in WI so it's not like it's gotten a ton of use. The slide is stuck in and wont budge AT ALL.

Just what I needed to know, thank you! 👍 We recently purchased our first RV, a class A, and heard that ratchet noise when I retracted the bed slide out. At first thought that it was a "slide-out fully close" micro switch that went bad and the motor was jumping gears. Did you ever take one apart to see what it looks like? Thanks again.

    • @AZExpert
      @AZExpert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The gearbox can be taken apart and even the gears be upgraded but it is a difficult thing for the shop to stand behind repairing an old slide motor. I'm glad it helped. Thanks!

We just purchased a 2019 flagstaff superlite 26fkbs with 2 slides.
The living area front slide recently started randomly not wanting to go out but will come in everytime nearly. Not sure what to think. Any suggestions?
Luckily the manual crank on this is convenient and so I haven't really worried about it to much. I would like it working as it should though. No videos have touched on one working only part of the time.

I guess they don't sell the gearbox by itself it comes complete with the motor and all.
I think my gear box is starting to slip it opens and closes but it won't close all the way anymore maybe about an inch and a half more to go and then it won't budge it just makes a bumping sound
In my bedroom slide out for a 2002 Holiday Rambler ambassador, it has a big motor I can only imagine a price tag on that one 😨

Thanks for your input what I did was I empty everything out from underneath the bed.
And I extended and retracted the slide out, and it closed all the way but it's still bumps right when it closes. My other slide outs in the coach doesn't bump it just stopped and that's it.
I keeped the heavier items out and put in the lighter items and it still works, but I believe it will go out soon. I would love to get a gear kit just not sure how to order it.
That gearbox part number doesn't pull up on Google on its own 😕
      DEMALD 018250
That company was bought out i believe by lippert.

Just curious.. I've been troubleshooting my Slide.. I ran it out one day and it just stopped... It's blowing a Fuse every time I hit the button.
The Slide Control box is fine, I swapped another and still blows a Fuse.
I ohmed out the motor and it seems fine but I'm wondering if the Amp draw can be blowing the fuse? There is nothing else left in the circuit?
When it jump the motor with 12vlts it works fine.
    Thanks.

    • @AZExpert

If you can jump the motor from the wiring at the switch, then it's either the switch or the wiring from the switch to the motor.
