I built 500 homes forbthe Gila River Indian Community south of Phoenix, Arizona, USA. The construction did not use stones but rather wooden posts with horizontal slats on both sides. The resulting voids were packed with a mix of clay, straw, and cement. The 12 inch thick walls act as a heat sink. When the outside temperatures reach 102 degrees f. The interiors never exceed 90 degrees f.
I love that you can do all of this by yourself with a little knowledge. And the court yard was so nice. If i make one i will make the roof slightly slanted and put metal roof to catch rain water. The stairs on the side is also a really cool addition. Gives it a lot of character. Will definitely be considering all of these techniques. The floor looks beautiful.

Muy bonita,pero no es segura con ese techo. Lo digo por experiencia,cuando era niña un familiar hizo una casita idéntica para nosotros que no teníamos dónde vivir y nos habíamos cambiado a ese lugar. Estábamos durmiendo cuando se escuchó un crujido en el techo….salimos corriendo porque el techo de nos vino encima,gracias a Dios que solamente fue el gran susto.😅
Nice stone working and fine as a shed....but I doubt it would be safe to live in. All the houses around had sloping roofs....probably for a reason. Lovely craftsmanship but I don't reckon it would pass building regulations anywhere in the world. A farm shed or for livestock perhaps.
Goes to show it's only those who don't want to help themselves that go without or live in squalor, hard work has its rewards rather than expecting someone else giving you what you want, go and make your life better for your self, I have seen so many entitled groups given government assistance and still be none the better for it
