    Anti seize on the new sensors threads, makes life a whole lot easier the next go around

      New sensors should be coming with anti-seize already applied -- if you're buying the sensor from Cummins.

    Also the is a core charge on the old sensor so don't cut the wires in an effort to remove it.good vid.

      Sometimes the cost of the core isn’t worth the labor . On. A Detroit it’s very hard to get to and take a along time even with the right socket to save the core I just cut it and is e a socket saves time

    If your positive that the sensor is bad, I cut the pig tale off and put a deep socket right onto the old sensor, makes life a lot easier

      Cummins analyzes core returns to help improve the product. If you cut off the probe, that analysis is lost.

      @@omegaqed8592 Not really, it's just the wires, cut it at least 12" away from the sensor, then there's enough wire to splice the connections later if need be.

    • @omegaqed8592
      @omegaqed8592 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brnmcc01 cutting the wires in the shop leaves the sensor vulnerable to moisture and VOCs entering the sensor controller or probe (via open wire ends), making analysis and remanufacture less reliable.

    Mine is spn 3216, low input voltage. Does that mean it's bad or just a loose connection somewhere? Truck still runs like normal.
