I have the first version 100 with firmware update. When I first got it I didn’t like it. I thought it sounded fizzy. But then either my ears adjusted or the speaker got broken in. But now I love it.
Another interesting factor, is that Line 6 has issued a cosmetic upgrade to celebrate Catalyst 2.0. I don't know if that's a factor, but depreciation is high on the 1st-gen models, making them a steal used. I just bought a used 60 for $170 USD online, and I've heard of others picking them up for less. I'm looking forward to applying the firmware update when it arrives. At minimum it should be a lot of fun, for less than the price of a new pedal.
Just a reminder, it's important to be careful about running non guitar instruments through guitar amps, mainly because guitar speakers are not robust enough to handle extended frequencies (for example it's much better to run a guitar through a bass amp (Fender Bassman was designed for a bass first and foremost) than a bass through a guitar amp. Bass and keyboards can possibly kill a guitar speaker in a guitar amp because the cone of the speaker isn't designed for those instruments.
Absolutely, I don’t think I said it in the video, I meant as DI, so the monitoring was from Pa floors, I turned down the master and used just the brains and IO

Yeah I saw them being blown out and got worried when the new CX was announced. But them updating the first gen is great

That's good. Just trying to make sure you don't have to buy another set of speakers.😉👍✨
