I would like to apologize ahead of time for all my long time and weekly viewers as this episode goes off the rails a bit for my normal content. I meet up with @fototripper to show me around Nova Scotia a bit and things go wrong in more ways than one. We spend hours trying to find a gorge shot and end up with nothing but wet feet and a mossy shoe, although it does seem like a rare model.
After handing over whatever I could find for an outside shower, a bit of the day was salvaged even though I swear he was filming me. O well, showers are hard to come by on the road. Thankfully sunset had some nice conditions for flying the drone and we found a really unique spot where the tide goes out so much that part of the entire coast shows itself.
Flying over this gives a really unique perspective with the red sand you find in parts of Nova Scotia. I must say it was a lot of fun finding patterns and shadows in those moments even though they didn't result into any giant compositions.
I realize there is little photography in this episode and hope the majority of you have a laugh or two in the pain I got through with this so called local guide. If you really want his info you can find it below

That was an interesting video! All I will say is that the climb into the canyon looks worse than it is, and that you guys should’ve ignored the first rope and continued up the river and you would’ve been at the first waterfall about 5 minutes later, saving A LOT of effort. Cheers!

@@AlexArmitage we're about a 2 hour drive to there so my wife and I plan to head there in the autumn to capture the colors with the falls and bridges.

Definitely loved all the scenery, even enjoyed the challenges of the gorge….real life. My dad was an Army Sergeant so grewup with very little humor ….. 😊. I hope you are planning a trip to Fundy Bay. It is on my “before I die list” ❤

Great video both, absolutely excellent. You are so lucky to be able to access these areas by vehicle. I was amazed that people leave ropes to help access as well. In the UK, thanks to some destructive off road groups, a bunch called the Ramblers Association, and some very unsharring land owners, we no longer are able to access a good deal of our countryside other than on foot, which shuts off many spectacular views of the countryside for those who are unable to walk long distances.

I have been to those falls. The wrong turn you took was the way I came in. There's a dirt road that you can drive up to and take that trail to the falls. When I was there there were two ways to get into the Slot Canyon. We took the ropes to the right. Still have to descend the ropes down but was easier than the left side in my opinion. The trick to get the gear in there was using a rope to lower the bags down. It worked very well for us.
Don't think either of us felt comfortable doing it sadly
