Thank you very much for this amazing video which is very useful and helpful to grab the basic and the essential knowledge about the lean, lean practices waste and etc.
Nice video! Very much a classic Womack and Jones "Lean Thinking" information share. Toyota's approach is much more centered on problem solving and employee engagement.
I add one more waste, using the Japanese terms in a US company...they add nothing to the value but only bring a sense of mystery and confusion kanban just means card you can see (just use visual card) Kaizan just means change for the better (just use continuous improvement) I always push to remove any usage of the japanese terms
bro u say this wont help in future development and then after few secs... "however this may also help in future development" ('-') like bruh.. not enough explaination!
Everything was OK till you have listed Disadvantages of Lean Manufacturing. Infact both the disadvantages mentioned were ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Please look into it. otherwise, nice attempt my dear friend.
I agree. Safety and Future Development are pretty lame. Safety is the number one priority at Toyota. The specifically mentioned Overburden as a waste, besides. Future Development is done in Product Development (engineering), not the factory floor. Simultaneous engineers serve as a liaison between manufacturing and engineering. They can communicate both ways.
very helpful to have a simple concept on lead manufacturing! thanks host!
I am 67. And almost 50 years in engineeeing and production. This is the best video on lean manufacturing ever. Great.
I think it's really cool how they got Stephen Hawking to narrate
