was afraid that your entry to dangdut (it's pronounced dangdoot btw) is project pop..they're basically parody band, they're popular in the 90s anyway, as you may guess, dangdut is heavily influenced by indian and arab music (that belly dancer thing you mentioned is almost there), the difference is the way you sing it, the singer needs to have a special vibration technique in their voice that we call "cengkok", oh and i adore dangdut guitarist, as most dangdut songs got crazy guitar solos, they practically just hit 4-5 keys and the rest is solo guitar with mild effect like what you heard in 5:40, which popularized by rhoma irama (king of dangdut) edit : i like your country's music..maybe some video games soundtrack based on this..it sounds so...adventurous
