- I had some fun testing out the new ADJ myDMX Go controller, I hope you all enjoy. I was using an iPad Air to toggle through some different scenes / movements. I'll list the lights used below:
Movers: MARQ Gesture Spot 400
Wash fixtures: Chauvet DJ Wash FX 2
Linear wash fixtures: Chauvet COLORband PiX-M USB
Truss warmers: ADJ VPar Pak
Pioneer Rekordbox with XDJ-700's & DJM-450
RCF Art 732-A MK4 and RCF SUB 705-AS II speakers - เพลง

I really enjoyed this! I'm just getting into the lighting game so this definitely helps me understand more about lighting especially reading the comments & getting information but are these lights able to work with airstream as well?
Glad it worked out for you. I ordered it played with it and sent it back. Way to glitchy for me. I tried light rider as well which is exactly the same controller under a different name. That was glitchy as well.
It was glitchy when I was running wireless dmx dongles with it. But I did a firmware update to the unit and used cables which appeared to resolve my issues.
What’s the song that you used? Was it a mashup or something else? Could you put the link to it if there is one?
dope ass light show!! Would love to know what kind of presets you used on your moving heads and the wash fxs.
How did you setup cables? Is it all one daisy chain or did you separating moving heads from your other lights using myDMX go? Thanks

How do you connect your controller to the software to play at the same time as the lights?
Was this all preloaded programming? I just got my mydmx go, and those colorwash fx look awesome. Might pick them uo
This was all preloaded programming, I was just changing the scenes / speeds quite a bit. The Chauvet DJ Wash FX 2's are awesome, I highly recommend them! They are very bright so you will probably have to dim them in certain scenarios.
For the moving heads, do you have them on the same address or different addresses?
different addresses. they perform different movements meaning they can't be the same otherwise they would be mirrored

Hi, can u tell me , if you built the columns With the Single RGB Lights or did you buy them?
Nice set up. Question, can you make a “ show “ out if the presets. I use the ADJ Airstream DMX App and I’m able to create scenes and place them into a show that will play multiple scenes with the press of a button. Is this possible with the “Go”

Very cool!! Were the movers set to bpm mode as well? They seemed to move quite well with the beat and slow down during the ambient part.
Thank You!! If I recall correctly the movers were also set to bpm mode. I also switched around the auto modes from slow to hot. I should have filmed a 2nd angle with a view of the iPad screen.
@@HenVisuals i dig it!! So you are using the automodes in conjunction with your presets? i wish automode would play through chosen presets...like a playlist... id love to just hit a button and let it go
@@chrislilly1981 I haven't made many presets yet. I was hitting the different auto modes and then changing scenes and movements within them as well. I also used the strobe function, the buildup and blinder button. That would be an awesome update maybe they will do one day.
CHRIS LILLY it’s a simple feature to unlock if the developers wanted. I will be emailing them to see if it can be added.

Did you use the Mic on the iPad for sound active or tap bpm?
Hey Chris, yes I was triggering different scenes throughout the video while in the bpm mode.
Heny...i appreciate the reply. I have SoundSwitch and I'm thinking about grabbing the my dmx go but just trying to figure out if it would be a ton of extra work while djing and mixing.
@@chrisjhenry2024 It's not a lot of extra work, but I'm sure it's a bit more than using SoundSwitch. I never used the product so I can't say for sure.

this was all live pushes, just scenes?? nothing was pre-programed?
Does this have to run on a tablet or will it run on my macbook pro along with my dj software? (virtual dj)
What I'm currently aware of yes you must run this on a tablet.

What are the lights on the speaker poles?
They are the Chauvet Colorband Pix-M USB's. Killer light fixtures, very bright! They also tilt/sweep around the room but at the moment myDMX Go doesn't allow them to tilt.
Can you make a video to show us how you configured your lights and what settings you are using while this is happening? thank you!!!!
When I find the time I definitely will try to. I won't be setting up all my lights again in the house anytime soon though HaHa. In this video I was using all the preloaded programs, I was just changing the scenes / speeds quite a bit.

Thank You!! I have only used mine a few times so far. What is your unit doing? I did plug the unit directly into my computer and did a firmware upgrade that was available.

Hi, no when I updated to the new version the Dmxgo stop working completely, I ended up returning the Dmxgo moved over to mydmx3.0

Do you have the latest iOS update installed on the iPad? I haven't used mine for a few months. Also always check the app store to make sure you have the latest software update.

I’ve been hearing this is having problems and why I can’t find it on some sites... is it having issues for you ? What tablet are you using ?
The unit didn't appear to act nicely with my cheap wireless DMX transmitter and receivers. I hardwired everything and then didn't have any issues. I have only used it in my house and at one gig so far. I had no issues with it at my gig. I also performed a firmware update, not sure if that helped in anyway making it more reliable. Anyhow I'm using a gen 1 iPad Air.
@@HenVisuals Were you using the Donner wireless DMX dongles?
@@HenVisuals Trick is keeping the cheap wireless transmitter away from the My DMX transmitter... use a 3-6 ft DMX cable to separate them... (In other words... don't plug the dmx transmitter directly into the MY DMX out) that will solve your problem! (Too many signals together... )

At the time of filming this I was using the built in presets and manually changing modes and settings on the fly.
