I have to say, you are one of my favorite face to see on the VC channel ;)( always a smile and varied taste in music) and i am really close to do my first video!... I might do it soon!
sadly not able to contribute, as not any vinyl ...all gone.. but love the " nick drake" answer... laughed at that so true.. music to die for ...lol.. cheers great video ..
Spectacular Vinyl Tag Armien Wow Harvest Moon by Neil Young still on my want list and I remember when you and Antoine Walraevens got that Norah Jones Box man that was a steal . excellent picks rainy day choices I'm listening to Mickelson Drake Five Leaves Left as I'm watching your video. luv your channel and your answers have a great week . lovellandrew
Okay. So I downloaded Five Leaves Left. Wow. What an album!!!! I'm ashamed to say I had never heard of Nick Drake. Love him. Thanks for the massive tip mate. Have just ordered it on Vinyl :)
Hello Armien. Thank you for sharing quite alot of yourself, stories and your collection. I particularly liked and laughed at the nice psych cover but turned out to be schlarger story! I think we have all been there. Sometimes a really poor cover though can turn out to be amazing. That's why i consider myself a slow browser as reading liner notes often names turn up of say a producer or background musician who i consider wouldn't be associated with any old rubbish. Therefore if i like them i know I'm onto something interesting. Cheers again. Martin.
good stuff I doubt I'll get around 2k but who knows I decided mostly to focus on Jazz and Hip hop. But gotta get more Bowie and Stones. 7 inch 45s are fair game too.
Very good stuff you post .. You bring back lots of memories !!! I watched lots of your videos .. I notice the inner sleeves say laser disc .. Do you buy them for your records ? Or do lots of the new stuff come with that type of inner sleeve .. Do you have a Facebook page ?
Hey, great video. Was fun getting a bit more familiar with your collection. I have a question though, which is if you would consider making some sort of beginners guide, or at least a couple of tips for starting a vinyl collection or what kind of equipment to get. The reason I ask is because I have a few vinyls, but nothing to play it on after my last equipment broke. So, I'd like to start over, but don't know what kind of equipment to get. Any help would be appreciated.
My tip would be: Save some money and don't get a turntable that will damage your records. Of course there are a lot of good models on the used market. If it has to be a new one I would recommend a cheap Pro Ject or U-Turn. Please don't get a Crosley. I would also get a used stereo amp and two nice speakers. That's all you need :)
Alright, thanks. Guess I better start saving up some money then. It'll probably take some time due to all my student expenses, but "baby steps are still steps". Anyway, thanks for narrowing a lot of information down, and making it a lot easier for me. Keep making great videos. Also, thanks for introducing Fjørt to me. Been listening to them non-stop. Valhalla quickly became one of my all time favorite songs :)
Hi Armien, are you familiar with late 60s Krautrock band Bröselmaschine? I recently picked up an original NM copy of their self-titled debut album on the Pilz label. Sounds amazing and looks quite valuable according to Discogs!
Oh yes, sure I know Bröselmaschine. They come the town I am currently living in. I once met their guitarist in a local record store. It's a psyched out piece of music. I love it but still miss it on vinyl. Lucky you! A great find indeed!
Ah, nice one - I'd never heard of them before. Picked it up in a tiny record shop in Bratislava. It's now in the UK!

Hi Armien, Great and interesting responses. I will do a respons also soon. This Michael Holm album have a very advanced and nice cover for a schlageralbum. I found a track from that album. I have to agree it sounded horrible, almost like swedish dancing orchestras. Take care! :)
Hey man, can you write down the name of that German post-hardcore/emo band? I love that style and would love to listen to it. Also, great video and I admire your very varied taste in music :)
Man, try to listen to Fabrizio de andré. Wim wenders love his music. I'm italian and know very well fabrizio and love, but sometimes other country don't know his songs. Thanks.
