History, properties and uses of the element Titanium. Gregor's discovery and Matthew Hunter's experiments on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute football field are discussed. Titanium's magnetic properties are demonstrated as well as its sparking in a flame. Aerospace uses include the SR71 Blackbird and A10 Warthog aircraft. Titanium dioxide's common uses are presented and unusual titanium dioxide levels in a space object is discussed.

Interesting style. Somewhere between an academic paper, a lecture, and an undergrad's report. An intro of a paper, a joke of a lecturer and a general passion of an overworked student. :)

The pure Titanium metal bar is beautiful. So is the Copper bar. I love Vanadium, Chromium, and Molybdenum in a knife blade.

Vanadium and Molybdenum helps with the tensile strength and durability of the blade right? Chromium is used to help with corrosion resistance right?

Thanks. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. I found the metal bars on Amazon, brand unique metals. The Titanium crystals came from the United Nuclear company. I ordered the Ti sheet and rod some years ago and don't recall the supplier.
