But I can sincerely say that I’m falling in love with this team and I can see myself becoming a lifelong supporter!! I watched the game live and I celebrated as if I was crazy!! The thing with Feyenoord is. Its not just one section of the ground. They go crazy all over the ground. Even in the business seats. The passion is real. Its the same passion that sometimes makes the stadium go silent. The tension they feel is sometimes to much to bare
Feyenoord supporters are the real deal. 18 years of not winning the title, 10-0 lost against PSV, financial problems etc. And still the supporters never let the club down. It’s just more than just football or winning trophies, it’s unconditional love, loyalty and passion for the club. Win, lose or draw, they never let the club down. And what can I say about de Kuip, it’s a magical stadium. It lives, it breaths, it shakes, it’s one of the most living stadiums of the world. Literally every club, or away fans that came to de Kuip, has experience the same thing and told the same stories. The atmosphere that the fans created, pyro or no pyro, it’s always a wonderful view the watch. Sure there’s also plenty of fake supporters at Feyenoord, but the real ones always stays. I probably will get a lot of hate of the Ajax “fans” yes, you read it “fans” because they only come to the stadium when there’s succes, that’s just facts. Different mentality, you have to perform to win their love and trust, that’s how Ajax is. Most of them only care for their trophies, gloryhunters is what we call them. And no Feyenoord supporters aren’t perfect, but they’re REAL. I’m happy for you Josh that you experience our wonderful stadium de Kuip. Goodluck in the conference league.
Some of my Lazio friends asked me how it was like to be in the stadium. I told them, it is like no other stadium in the world, the supporters, the intense atmosphere, the passion and the shaking of the stadium makes it an evening to never forget win or loose. They went there and even when their team lost they were ecstatic especially when the stadium was shaking. They were gutted that Lazio lost but they knew it would happen, Feyenoord is not a small club, you could tell that Feyenoord grew as a team since the first game (4-2) with 90% new players. I cooked them some nice pasta when they stopped by. 🤤 Glad you enjoyed the game and the atmosphere and hopefully Lazio gets far in the Conference League.

I was told that De Kuip was built flexibel on purpose, to absorb bouncing, jumping, etc. without collapsing. That's why it's shaking when the fans celebrate hard enough. It's a unique feature for a stadium.

Opposition players always feel like they are overwhelmed when they play in De Kuip. They feel as though they play against 12 men. And psychologically they do. The entire stadium roars every 5 seconds. Teams like Ajax or Az would dream of having this atmosphere. IK DUIK VOOR NIEMAND, VOOR JOU NIET EN VOOR NIEMAND ANDERS. The hardworking mentality of the people from Rotterdam, the biggest harbour of Europe and especially the history of Rotterdam, totally demolished bij the Germans in 1940 comes back in the character of the Rotterdam people and the supporters from Feyenoord. Opposition players always feel like they are overwhelmed when they play in De Kuip. They feel as though they play against 12 men. And psychologically they do. The entire stadium roars every 5 seconds. Teams like Ajax or Az would dream of having this atmosphere. IK DUIK VOOR NIEMAND, VOOR JOU NIET EN VOOR NIEMAND ANDERS. They call it “Kuipvrees” for a reason 😈

The hardworking mentality of the people from Rotterdam, the biggest harbour of Europe and especially the history of Rotterdam, totally demolished bij the Germans in 1940 comes back in the character of the Rotterdam people and the supporters from Feyenoord.
