I can't believe this is the first video you released after I found you. I lived in Anchorage for a year and a half. As a lifelong Alaskan, it's definitely an interesting blend of rural rugged, Alaska and big city. One thing you missed is that the ANC airport is one of the busiest cargo airports in the world currently ranked 4th.

We went there and saw so many drunk homeless druggie poor people. Like zombies that walk between cars in busy roads with their greasy, dirty butt cheeks hanging out. We are pretty sure we saw a guy/trans pooping outside of a 2 story shelter made out of pallets and Tyvek while walking down a trail. It was like a Disney ride. Saw a structure type shelter made out of broken bicycles and parts. My son said the strippers there seemed chubby with stretch marks, C section scars, and or asymmetrical breast growth.

Anchorage is a well placed city. During the cold war the Anchorage airport was a refueling stop for planes travelling between east Asia and Europe. They'd fly over the arctic circle to stay clear of restricted soviet airspace. We'd also get some good concerts as bands would stop over here and do a show on the way to their Asian tours. FedEx has a huge hub at the airport where their flights between Asia and North America transfer their cargo.

Nice work. A few things to add. The 2nd largest earthquake to hit the world in recorded history was nearby on Good Friday 1964. 9.2. Devastated parts of downtown and West Anchorage. Obliterated Valdez on Prince William Sound.
The 2nd highest tides in the world are off of Anchorage leading to the treacherous mudflats which line the waterfront areas.
Just across from these mudflats lies Mt Susitna or the Sleeping Lady, one of the most photographed features from downtown at the Captain Cook statue.
Did you mention the extensive trail system throughout Midtown and beyond in the City designed and built in the 80s with the oil boom? Ahead of its time. One of my favorite ways to get around on bike when going to college there in the late 80's.

A couple things - the bowl isnt used to refer to the metro. Its the area of the city proper that's wrapped by the Chugach in a sort of bowl.
Second, you can see Denali from just about any point of marginal elevation or unobstructed viewpoint in the town IF 'Denali is out.' Meaning if the weather cooperates and clouds avail themselves to make the mountains visable.
Anyone want to factcheck me on any of this, come and visit! Ill buy you a beer at mooses tooth or turnagain brewing.

I live in Anchorage, this is a lot of good info. But I’d say Mt. Susitna aka Sleeping Lady is a much better view from Anchorage. Denali is technically visible, but only when conditions are good and from certain parts of town. Sleeping lady is just across the inlet and is very beautiful
