I love hearing the commentating on this and the ESPN Thunder stuff way more than what you hear nowadays. It’s pretty much guys trying to sound overly excited and amped.
Some years back 2007 I believe, when USAC ran that new body in the Silver Crown Division the big cars came to Stafford Motor Speedway for a 50 lap feature. The support class that night was wingless midgets and Carquest put up 50,000$ if the winner of the midget race and elected to start at the rear of the big car feature and won that as well.Bobby Santos lll won the midget race started at the rear of the champ car race making a last lap pass in the 50 lapper to take the win and the 50,000 dollar check!!All I can say is go to your local tracks you never know when you'll see history in the making.
comming back to this heh yea he did just that santos 3 with the midgets and the silvercrowns this year double feature wins this year in 2022 and in third place making highest ever finish for a lady driver taylor ferns from michigan on that night. they pretty much fly around the 5/8s at irp, and they are talking about the renovations in the next ten years trying to build a temp dirt track on the back side of the inside, though looks like 1/4 though I wish they would do a a 1/2 flat dirt so they could run the silver crowns on it, I wish they could be convinced to make it so when they do. or do a bristol and put a layer of dirt around the whole thing let the dirt champ cars do what they were made to do big dirt racing, or do one at the mile at hoosier downs and put up a temp catch fence around it it is 1 mile and it is just outside indy.in shelbyvill, I want another dirt race in indiana soo bad, there was to be one last one in 2021 but they started the conversion to limestone 2 weeks of so before the race was to be, though opening night at circle city that year was the maiden run and I would not trade the special night for much of anything, it was also tony stewards 50th birthday, though I cant understand why the all stars he owns dont have any races in indiana at all even kokomo or gas city, they are based out of indiana. and many of the drivers I talked to in the pits spoke very lovingly of the hoosier 100, that got to do it and would love it it continued. maybe one day if they let us barrow a horsetrack maybe one day, though the dirt and grounds wont be the same, or maybe they will take up the limestone doubt it though.
You sound pretty bothered by his career decisions by your multiple comments. Hes pretty well off due to his nascar career and not many, if any, sprint car drivers can honestly say that without having extra side hustles.
@@walmars3curityEhh the top 20-30 guys in dirt sprint cars and late models are doing pretty good nowadays, had he tried to transition full time to winged sprint cars probably would have been a better decision. I'm not quite as mad as this guy just an observation
miss usac stuff on tv alot :(
