Thanks Thomas, I enjoy this type of video and emulated your modular setup for the AX1 antenna years back! My first backpacking setup was an Original QCX mounted on standoffs inside a dollar store pencil box and, like you described, used the tent stakes pouch with rocks for the throw weight. 73 N4NN
You should partner with LNR and design a radio together. The MTR-8 band - Hazel Edition. Hazel swag is in order. She could go viral. Sweet pup.

@@ChroniclesofHamRadio-yh2ed Same, but even the ones that haven't been designed by him and Hazel seem to go to fast. I've missed the last three releases. So frustrating!

Probably is good that its springy because it helps keep everything held in and it wont move around. I think I'm going to store my mountaintopper like this. I have everything you showed and it would keep it together nicely!
