At daybreak, the first farmers set off on foot with their goats, cows and bulls towards the Summer Alps. With the rising sun, this farmers walked with their cattle through the village of Urnäsch in the Appenzellerland region of Switzerland. The animals will spend the summer in the Summer Alps near Schwägalp at the foot of the Säntis Mountain.
