You are supposed to buffer but it's something hard to do unless you train for it. TBH if you commit to drive parry in that situation you should just always go for drive rush. This just helps you capitalize on a very specific situation
the notation assumes you're player 1 side (most guides often list notations like that). so if on player 2 it'll be 545. the video demo shows coming from player 2 side switching to the other side 5 = neutral, 6 = forward
The way fast drive rush is done in this game is 6+parry, 5, 6. 5 is neutral so the two 6s represent a dash input. Your first forward input should coincide with parry.

Every tech can be beaten. Here you guess that the opponent will wakeup dive kick and then act these out. Ofcourse if they dont do that, you'll lose.
