My Great Uncle! He was amazing. I was often sent to pick him up for a Birthday Party or other event at Grandma’s and Grandpa’s. I remember one wet winter in particular when I was in his house, in no hurry, checking out all his carvings and art, waiting for him to put his shoes on. He was sitting in front of the fire and his soaking wet socks were hanging to dry when he picked them from the screen and slipped them on. He locked up at me, chuckled and said, “Brad. A man cannot be too particular.”
Anyone who climbs can attest that 50 feet feels and looks like 100. 100 feet feels like you’re on top of the world. This old fella climbed skyscraper trees that I never will, and he topped them with a hand saw. I was watching videos about how to address my new tennis elbow and found this while I was feeling sorry for myself. I’m going back out tomorrow.
@@CaliforniaCarpenter7 only a couple times to remove deadwood in some pines. Mainly removing all the stumps I made now by burning them with a burn barrel and air blower.
Excellent video, and what a great old guy! Those tree-toppers sure had guts.

50 feet looks pretty short from the ground until you’re up there 😆
