- As the spring and summer went on, it became more obvious that Isaiah Briscoe was the best point guard in the class of 2015 and it wasn’t even close. Throughout this AAU season, he showed off an improved body while continuing to show he knew how to lead a team. This bulky guard averaged 19.2 PPG and 5.0 APG while leading his team to a 13-3 regular season. At the end of a dominate summer, Isaiah led his talented NJ Playaz squad to the 2014 Nike EYBL Peach Jam title with a 85-83 win over Team Penny. This bull of a point guard is hard to get stopped after he gets going, getting into the paint with ease then looking to find the open man or finishing at the rim. He is a very unselfish player and only looks to score when the opportunity is there or if the game calls for him to score. After having to sit out the first half of the 2013-14 high school season due to NJ transfer rules, look for Isaiah to lead Roselle Catholic (NJ) to a 2015 NJ Tournament of Champions title.

Like the handles. Not so much liking the long ass release on the jumper. But he's young. So we ought to give him time.
One side note though, I remember a kid a few years back with the sickest handles and a long ass release...
The name is Austin Rivers. Looked incredible against lesser talent. Having his struggles now. So one, let's hope Austin gets it together, but two, lets hope this dude rounds out his game. He already as one ridiculous talent. Lets see him put the whole package together.

Briscoe #1 player Period in the Nation....He actually scores very easy, (NBA Body and handle)...Most of these highlights were from the AAU summer circuit and the 2nd half of his Junior Year at Roselle. I don't get impressed much by these kids but this kid is smooth man. Makes it look so easy. He's definitely gonna be an impact player in the league if he keeps working and stays outta trouble.

Reminds me of Rick Brunson with the excellent quickness/upper body strength combo... don't think he will get some of the finishes around the basket against bigger competition or get that slow jumper off, however the handles/floor game should get him over.
I know its a mix, but a lot of these makes are bad shots. I'd hate to see the ones he misses. Not efficient with his dribble. Too many moves to get where he wants to go. clearly skilled and talented. But nothing special.
Not to discredit you opinion ,but most of these clips are from all-star games if you really watch Briscoe at his best and most efficient watch his EYBL highlights

Even though I'm a UK fan, I'm not to excited about Briscoe. He tends to get away with carrying a lot in these videos. And he's not the most explosive athlete, but he is smooth. Maybe the scouts see something in him that we don't since every recruiting site has him in the top 15. I'll give him a chance, hopefully he can be great.
He looks really out of shape for the #1 PG in the nation. He's not going to get by anyone in college one on one with those moves. He doesn't look even remotely explosive. Not to mention I witnessed at least 10 carries in this highlight mix.

He is not that quick, but he is smooth. Some people can't be smooth and quick at the same time. Atleast he has smooth moves that can also get a defender off balance.

Well, I thought Briscoe was a PG. He has the skills to play both. Briscoe will probably be a 2 year player, I think Ulis and Devin Booker will be the starting back court next year.

If enough players return, I can see Calipari using the platoon system again. I hope Calipari can sign another big man, preferably Steven Zimmerman, Carlton Bragg or both. Hopefully he can bring Jaylen Brown and Malik Newman too. The situation with Skal Labissiere scares me, that's why I want UK to get another big man. He seems like a good kid and he's a good player, but there are too many red flags with him.
Skal labissiere will be eligible... uk might loose all their centers. BUT, i think they are getting Caleb Swanigan, Jaylen Brown and Malik Newman. they will have enough back for a platoon system.

Corey and Marcus do a lot to score coaches look for kids that don't have to do much to score and briscoe has an nba body in high school. I fuck with corey though he makes the game fun but its all about winning

The critiquing of his game is valid, he seems too over-dribble way too much and his jumper is a work in progress, but the sky is the limit for him on the same token. He looks to be a combo guard, with his bulk, he reminds me of a James Harden type of game, but without the effortless scoring. He's still a HS player, so we shouldn't write him off just yet, if he actually refines his game at Kentucky, he can be really good, but Coach Cal is known for corralling 1-and-done players, so he can easily get caught up in that too.
first step is weak but I can tell he has natural talent..more honing of his skills..trim down..get solid and get that dribble tight then he set
Hope he can maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to keep his scholarship (or is it 3.0 now?) Have watch Kentucky the next 4 years, also I bet there are several scouts out there watching this kid. And you know the agents are hounding him for a contract. great BB player.

Im a big UK fan and I don't know if I like this guy. Obviously ill give him a chance but there's no way he starts over tyler ulis.
Struggling on offense at UK. Can't shoot beyond a couple feet (.429% FG/.152% 3 pt FG) & free throw shooting is horrendous at barely 40%. Opponents are sagging off IB & letting him shoot the ball, and they don't mind doing "Hack a Briscoe" late in games. Even when IB gets in the paint he doesn't have the lift to consistently shoot over taller opponents. A guard that has no outside touch, and can't even shoot free throws is an incredible liability. No way Briscoe is anywhere near ready to jump to the NBA.

Honestly he's not super dope, but he does make it look easy... continues watching... okay he has some super dope in him but keeps it on the low. Nice.
He looks like a Kyle Lowry type of player, not too quick, but can be a bulldog type, I don't know looks a lil slow, but hopefully he can use his body as a strength.
I mean you can't deny it,he has talent. Very strong left hand for a righty. What I don't like about him is that he's slow asl and his first step is weak asf. It kinda seems like he's all about breaking ankles than getting the job done as a PG.
Carries alot... He'll have to get a handle on that in college...has deceptive speed for a guy his size... Doesn't look like he's that in shape to chase around quick guards etc... But all those things will be fixed in college. His saving grace is his jumper and passing. Has a high ceiling. I'd take him in my team if I were a recruiter.
