This crop circle appeared in a field in Wiltshire in August 2022. I wanted to figure out how to draw it, I made a couple mistakes pretty early on so the skeleton of it didn't end up as tidy as I would have liked but it still works.
    Radius of first circle: 3.9cm

Wow Zack! I have always loved crop circles. They are so beautiful! Thank you very much for showing us how to draw them. After drawing it I hope I can transform it into an on-edge quilling project for my website. 😊

I love working with odd numbers, and grew to like even ones as I started to draw stars with more points and directions

I used to mark out a lot of sports pitches and whenever I see pictures of crop circles I always think about how I would go about the process of creating them in a field.
Your technique works amazingly on paper but for something bigger I would consider using something like Pythagoras theorem to find all the major points. From there everything can be done with a metal pin and tape measure or string in exactly the same way as you are using a compass.
I find it amusing how some people believe these designs are to complex for humans to make. As you have just proved it’s all fairly simple once you have worked out how to go about laying out the major points that are used to create the design.

The ones that are neat are the ones where the plants aren't killed and only have their joints blown out. Also notice when we layout we need string lines. Do that in a field of wheat. Then, notice how there aren't footprints or layout lines.
You could argue they use a gnss. But to say you can layout some of the more complex ones without disturbing the crops overnight with the same precision ( minus a total station) would be silly. You'd have tracks or pins all over.
Also how tall are you pins? Are you going over the wheat to not affect the centers? I think you should look more into it and try it. I am a gnss and layout specialist.

I would love to do this out in a field with some string, a ground stake, and a plank of wood. (maybe bring a blowtorch and some radioactive material for authenticity ;D)

I have this exact compass. So i take it, user error 😅. Any tips to make circles without templates? I freehand almoat always but id like to change to a more refined format.

Hi Zack, where do you buy your compass to draw big circles on the walls. I am so inspired by your mandalas that I made one painting using one of your tutorials. I don't know how I can sharethe picture of my painting here.

@@ZKorvin lovely. You are a poet as well. Stands to reason mastering sacred geometry is a crucial componant to understanding the structure of physical reality and the nature of reality. Next level would be to concretize these shapes into livable functional structures that would replace obsolete structures characteristic of Greco-roman empire and linear thought forms. Cheers!
