Is no one talking about how kiki was just lightly pawing the buttons!! 💕💕 my heart melted every time kiki did that ahhh!! My cat used to do that when I would paint, and use to paw at the paper when I was painting until I pet him haha.
I'm not sure if anyone's ever mentioned it or if you've thought about it yourself, but have you thought about using the same artwork you use for the buttons to make sticker packs? I'd say your cutter would fly through cutting since it'd just be circles lol
Roll up the rim is back?!?! I'm honestly so pumped about this haha! Good luck in all your rims! I've never heard it being bad luck to roll it up before you finish the drink, I just figured it made sense haha 😝
As someone who also has to assembly line handmade items, I agree with you that it easier to do one step all at once so you're not switching tasks and taking way longer. It's going to take forever to finish them all if you're finishing one item at a time, vs. moving all the items along each step.
Hey thanks a lot Baylee! I’m a graphic designer and that colour catalogue you mentioned in this vlog is a great resource! Looking forward to the art video you make about it.
I’m opening a store soon to sell stuff (including buttons!) but I just bought mine because I don’t have the patience to make each one 😱 I want to see your stats for how many you’ve made in your lifetime!
For stickers, I currently own a cricut as well but when I look up videos of other people that make stickers I seen them use a cameo 3 and they can do so much more and they can purchase a business license and run more than one machine from the same computer. I don't know if you would think it was worth it. Like the cameo can cut the stickers and then cut the sheet out so you can do two different cuts on the same go. So you could save time on your sticker sheets.
I understand why you do each process at a time but I’ve never understood why you print all designs in batches but then punch them willy nilly. If you print in batches and punch all of 1 type, keep them together for pressing, that one type is then done..... way faster
I personally would print one page of each design of however many of those that I think I need or change the print order so it matches the order that the designs are punched out so when it comes to pressing the buttons I'm doing all the same character first and just pop them in a bowl as that doesn't take up much room and easy to move out of the way. When it switches characters I'd chuck those in a different bowl. That way you are still concentrating on one task (which makes sense) but it will shorten the sorting step. I think that's why people keep mentioning it because you need the extra time and by just changing the method at the beginning will save time at the end.
@@lindsayarmstrong7130 I've been doing production line assemby of print-based products for a long time, have been watching Baylee do it this way a long time, and simply made an observation and a suggestion to possibly help her speed up. Of course she can do it in whichever way she prefers.
Don’t you run into copyright or trademark issues, by making buttons and art of someone else’s characters? I’m just curious because I genuinely don’t know how that stuff works.
she could....it depends on a few factors like the company being bothered to intervene. If they're a big company (Disney) they're not going to bother coming after someone making money at conventions...unless they stand to make a ton of money from the idea! THEN they'll probably want you to stop. It also depends on the character depiction, which comes down to how similar something looks to something else. This is how companies get away with selling Mario Costumes as Plumber costumes...So if she ran into problems, she could probably creatively rename them, and because she draws in a distinctive style, say the piece is 'inspired by' rather than a 'depiction of'. Hope this helps!
It depends. There is a grey area in copyright...If she is using her own artwork of a character she is mostly safe. The owner might go after her but not usually because they don't actually own that image. However, pulling images and using them, then yes! That is copyright infringement. Large Companies, Disney, will go after you. I say Disney because my daughter has worked for them and they are famous for their desist now letters.
@bayleejae 🎵Pink is my favorite crayon 🎵 lol Also.. what song is playing when you’re putting the pages in the binder? Hitting close to home...love the lyrics. Aaaaaand LOVEEEE that Color Palette Guide!!! How do we get our hands on it?!
You talked about getting rid of things since after the flood and I totally relate. I lost my house in the flooding from hurricane Harvey and after having to go through all of our stuff it made me realize that there really wasn't a need to have all of this. The bright side is now we live in a travel trailer and get to travel whenever we can, but we also have very limited space for things that don't have a purpose or aren't necessary. Isn't life funny like that?
@@BumbleBaylee it definitely was but we came out the better for it. We love living mobile and we're able to see friends and family more often and for longer periods.
Hi!) Maybe you need to sort your buttons not while you pressing it, but while you cutting the circles. Then you will have piles of different circles and after that it will be easier to control them while pressing. Sorry if you don't understand, my English is not perfect. Btw, hello from Ukraine!!
Bumble Baylee Hey Baylee- maybe you could do a grab bag. So you choose what goes in. If ever you want to sell buttons online that could be an easier way. Buyer should know it is a grab bag, no exhange or return😂 you have so many viewers that viewers can the swap among themselves if they wish. Just an idea in case you ever want to sell outside of convention. I have just started buttons and decided I will not do personalised ones- lo and behold, I have already made 6 personalised one haha- when people ask I get excited to design and make .
You should get those plastic page proctors that you can put in a binder. That way you don't have to worry about the pages ripping and you could put two in one sleeve back to back so it look likes an actual book!
You should definitely open your store in March. Having watched your vlogs for a while now you need time to a) Con Prep and b) not over work yourself. I also will have money in March so wait then I can get all your pins. Love you ❤️ xxxx
Honestly, don’t try to do too much at once. You know what happens every time you do. Pins can wait! Plus I’m having money issues right now so by you waiting until early March, I will definitely have money then and can actually buy your pins! So it’d be a win win 💜
I’ve always wondered, when you and Christian move would you consider getting your own art studio, be it a separate building in your yard or hiring out separate studio? Or do you just like working from home? Thanks!
Bayley what size is that button and you dont sell it in your store cause i didnt see it.. I love the eevee packs T. T.. Hehe sry im new to your channel and i just love the vlog!!
Hey Baylee do you think you can make a video about how you plan your day? Or just your way of time management? I'm really interested and need help in that department :) I low key watch your vlogs to feel productive, How do you do everything? :)
What size are your tackle boxes? I have 1.25 inch buttons too but I haven’t found the correct size where I live and have had to make carboard separations so I’d like to buy one on amazon
Maybe selling your pins as a "Mystery Grab Bag" can be a compromise between you having too many designs and people wanting them online. Just an idea! Love ya!
If you wait until March then you'll have the opportunity to sell out of the pins at the convention. Gives you a chance to order more if you need too. We can wait. Great Vlog btw!!!
I have a suggestion ? Maybe whenever you get around to organizing and going through your clothing you could make it a series on your channel so it wouldn't be a lot of pressure, especially since you do lot already. But maybe you wouldn't want to do that... also the sound of the buttons clinking is really satisfying.😃🙃
Baylee, I'd wait. As much as i want to guilt my SO into buying me a Kiki and Midna pin for valentines day i'm okay with waiting. Con prep is important and you don't want to stack two large stressors on top of one another
I also think you should do as you were thinking, it makes more sense to see how much you sell at the con (pins) and then open the store... also you got tons on stuff to do mammamiaaaaa no time to set up a store and package, nono :D
I did do all the button pressing on stream. Stickers will be next. I only had one enamel pin stream left so it made sense to finish, especially since they are a convention item too.
Baylee! Do you have to get copyrights to make your Pokemon buttons/artwork or Spongebob art? We've tried making products too but weren't 'allowed' to monetize for copyright laws. How do you do it? Please do tell 🙌🙌🙌 P.S. For the record, I've been watching your vids forever! And I've never noticed "clutter" until your basement floor/flooding issue. Please know we get it! And no one truly judging you ❤ You're AWESOME & actually VERY organized 😋😉
I'm actually a dog person, but I think it is so darn cute how your cats follow you around and always are around you! It's so cute!!
back handed compliment?

You could consider making marvel pins, that would be so good and probably sell very well coz of endgame coming out this year
Bayleeeeee!!! You set a 20 minutes timer on my google home 😂😂😂😂😂

SO true!

this is the earliest I have watched a video that had been just posted. love u, Baylee Jay
Baylee i just realized you could totally make a binder of buttons or their designs and use that for cons when you can't bring the big board
Just looking at the buttons on the table would be a lot easier than flipping through a binder.

Kristen M. Or maybe she should be allowed to do it how she wants?
I punch them vertically down the page because it makes one long strip. It shuffles them up a bit, but it's not too bad.
