I use rubbing alcohol to wipe down the handle of the kettlebell before I start for general gym hygiene and then to also clean the handle of sweat and oil during my workout. I also spray it on my hands to rid them of oils produced during the workout. It seems to work and is less obtrusive than chalk.

in ten minutes, I learned more than in years of training in gyms. Few coaches really know how to properly work with weights. In training in Thai boxing, we were just forced to make them makhi and that's it. Without turning on the legs. Glad I found your channel. It is a pity that it will cost a fortune to order the delivery of such weights to Russia, because I only have cast-iron 24 and 32 kilograms.

Hehehe I could never be offended by JP as his over-the-top sarcasm really hits my funny button. Personally I never, ever use chalk when kettlebell training. I don't need to. I never have sweaty hands and as you say, Gregory, most people don't understand the "jump technique". Chalking just for the sake of it will only make your technique worse and cause too much friction. I liked his original video on functional training. I think his criticisms in that video were extremely valid and I agree with them 100%. The issue with kettlebells is that it was turned into a fad by the FuNcTiOnAl training cult so now people misuse them all the time and unfortunately there are more scam artists out there than people giving legit kettlebell advice. Just look at Dan John's average views vs any of these scam artist influencers who are steroided out of their minds

He's put out some amazing videos regardless of his politics but they're tightly edited and rehearsed with as many takes as he wants. He is (at least right now) truly awful to watch live.
