The Revs got robbed. I’m not even an MLS fan but boy was that the worst VAR call I’ve ever seen.
Sure
Even as a Red Bulls fan, we didn’t deserve the win. We’re still more than lackluster on the field, and the refs won us the game. I’m sorry Revs fans, every MLS fan knows how horrible our league’s refs are, and every MLS club gets screwed over by PRO at one point or another. I’ll take the three points, but we just took our foot off the gas after they got a red card and happened to get incredibly lucky at the end of the game. It’s hard rooting for your local league when the officiating is notoriously awful week after week. Onto Cincinnati 🔴🐂
Hey, be down on your team all you want, but don't slag the refs on the offside call - they've been consistently making these offside interfering with an opponent calls all season, and by the Laws of the Game they're 100% correct.
@@johnmcgimpsey1825yea bru as a neutral fan i have to give the ref the benefit for this offside call. as unfair as it seems to the revolution, it doesnt legally matter if coronel could even make the save, his view of the shot was unsighted by an offside player
Don't hype them. Both calls were correct. Kicking someone in the nuts will get you a red any day of the week. On the VAR, Coronel was being shielded by the NE player. We've been burned by that call in the past, so not sure how you downplay it now. Weird to have things go our way for once. Deserved win, LFGRB.
You should really take the time to learn the rules of the game
What are you talking about? It was very clearly offside. Also, soccer games are won by scoring goals, not by deserving anything.
new to soccer. boston is my closest team. it was fun to watch im starting to like this!
Oh yeah! Go revs
Glad you’re getting into soccer. I was into the Revs at first when I started watching but I became a fan of NYCFC because of David Villa
as an European and football fan my whole life I want to say - welcome aboard this crazy train
Cant believe Farrell was cheated on that. No revs player at the time he hit the ball made a play for it.
it's not about the making a play part, it's about affecting the play. they affected the play by being in the way of the goalkeeper's field of vision while being in an offside position
Bro again and again and again they are robbing NE now it’s more than clear they don’t want NE at the top 3 what a shame for this league
“You’re nothing special
Got $#!/ refs each week!”
My favourite chant…
Had it been lafc then they would've given them a penalty or all the time in the world to catch up
That couldn’t be more clear. The MLS refs really do suck. That first red card that really threw the game off for us should have been VARed. But nope, that was a quick, summary judgment on the refs call.
Were we good, no. Should have had a point, I’d like to say yes. Extremely frustrating. But all in all, we were not good enough plain and simple. Defensively we did not keep shape well at all. We were pulled out quite a bit, partially due to the midfield as well. Sweat was poor on the day to say the least. Got turned a few times, went forward very ineffectively, completely unaware, etc. That should be his last chance for the foreseeable future. DJ, Spaulding, and Chris Makoun should all be ahead of him. Was a bit of a panic signing and hasn’t performed, enough said. Polster and Latif were pretty bad. Matt had a couple okay moments while Latif has continued his terrible form. With Harkes making his debut he should be in the XI next week, pending Buck’s availability of course. He brings calmness in possession and is very clean on the ball. Also just outright better than Latif right now in every way. Esmir and Ema also struggled. Es couldn’t find the right pockets with barely any chances to dribble or create. Similar with Ema. Had one chance he should have done better with but that’s all he brought. Bobby was largely uninvolved. He’s tough to judge because he is rarely involved in build up whatsoever but then pulls out a goal and assist out of nowhere. Tonight was one of those nights where you see Giacs replace him and wonder to yourself why the Albanian isn’t starting. Just brings so much more when we are pinned back. Has the ability to dribble and find space but doesn’t get his chance. Justin didn’t look the part today, though not entirely his fault. The sub doesn’t make much sense and he’s barely playing. Has to be getting Revs II minutes to stay fresh or else we’ll get a shift like that. I wish La Pantera dropped a bit more during the 90 as well. With Carles’ absence you need him to drop in and he stayed very high. Seems like a weird decision wether that was his personally or the staffs’. Best performers today were Brandon and Petro without a doubt. Brandon was very solid and that huge header obviously gives him a boost. Petro with that huge stop against Reyes with the rest being pretty straight forward. Was called upon a lot though to say the least. Really unlucky to concede that Carmona goal too. Just a huge deflection off the bottom of Ian to give them three points. Hurts to watch a crap goal like that go in and cost us. Quick turnaround midweek and the boys better be ready. Back home and points are needed. Chancalay hopefully to arrive soon for much needed relief. GO REVS!!!!!!!
Nice goal btw just very unlucky
Agree with a lot of this, particularly about Vrioni, but I think Ema did better than you implied. He kept up his pace throughout and made a few great chances down the sidelines as usual. I like seeing Bou and Vrioni played together, but I think Bou just looked gassed in the last 10-20. I would have loved to see Bou dropping to become a target man when Vrioni came on, and Vrioni allowed to take on some chances on his own like he did back in Austria.
That’s the second “offside” goal we’ve had chalked off, and two(?) points dropped because of them. Ridiculous.
I have to appreciate the fight in this team for being a man down without Carles Gil, not playing well even before the red card (dude, you can't have your boot up that high with the studs out), and still nearly stealing a point. I now understand why they recalled Spaulding from his loan, but I also now have even less of an idea of why Sweat is here in the first place.
this is what happens when carles gil isnt there which he shouldve been if it wasnt for that "dive" he is the reason this team is where they are and the 2 games that he isnt there for we lost both. also that was not worthy of a straight red and is it really offside if the entire red bulls team is blocking his view?
Bro what does Lalas have against Petrovic???? He sounds so pissed at him for no reason
Lalas? Tf are you talking about 😭
@@camboozle6idk if it was Lalas but whoever the commentator was clearly had it out for petrovic. Didn’t even try to hide the bias against him whatsoever probably because he’s not an American. Matt polster was more at fault for the second goal, not petro
@@camronrivera3266yes but it does go without saying that Petro could have prevented the goal by not playing it in the middle, but still mostly Matt’s fault
all the refs in this beloved league needs 5 years all expenses paid refereeing course because this is day time robbery. absolutely shambolic
Always a goal never is disallowed
Very very disappointing and upset for Ne 😤😤😤
WHY VAR? NOT TOUCH THE BALL OFFSIDE???
Law 11: "interfering with an opponent by preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision"
Vroni wasn’t even in from of the ny goalie when the ball was kicked. This should have been a goal and everyone knows it
no touch, but line-of-sight-obstruction. i think thats the reason of refusing the goal. but i think its wrong, there was no obstruction
And the Red Bull defender deflected it, all true
@@PolarbearKA I’m clearly not a revs fan, but he was absolutely not in the line of sight. Other players, yes. Not him. He made no change to the play whatsoever. Keepers view was obstructed by the who crowd closer to the ball. Bad call
As Red Bulls fan that was goal and should been 2-2 but idc I want the win so I will take the win.
Thank you man, thank you
how was the last goal waved off? embarassing
offside
@@maxklapacz6952dude never touched the ball wasn’t even close to it, goalie got beat by the shot straight up the offside player had 0 impact on the play, embarrassingly bad call the refs blew it
@@apapz3245It doesn’t matter. An offside is an offside. You can’t not enforce the rules just be because it might seem pointless.
@@ToastiestWaffle what? The rule is if the offside player doesn’t touch the ball or impact the play then you don’t stop the game..
@@maxklapacz6952 not offsides, it needs to be a direct pass to the offsides player for it to be offsides. this was a direct shot on goal and was a bad call.
Red Bulls haven’t packed out their arena since it opened
supporter section is sad like 20 people there 🤦♂️
U r wrong, as usual
All the plastics jumped ship in 2015 when NYCFC joined.
@cx3496 Why would New Yorkers support a New Jersey energy drink team lol
The reason why is because the team shows no respect to New Jersey. Back during Metrostars days, they had decent crowds because they included both NY and NJ. After rebrand, they showed that they do not care about the state they play in, simple.
i get it and all, rules is rules , as a neutral just idly watching highlights on teh youtubes with no skin in the game , But damn VAR sucks the fun out of football sometimes
Thank god for var😂 cornel was not getting that 😂😂😂
Goalie straight up got beat by a nice shot, revs got robbed
Why NER gold was disallowed? is it illegal to screen the gold tender?
Refs threw the game away
@johnsun2416: It's illegal if you do it from an offside position (screening counts as active play). The Revs player was pretty clearly offside. I'm not going to comment about how much he *really* screened the keeper, though-we never saw an angle that could really show us that.
@@brownpcsuncedu when the shot was taken he was runnin back onsides. this was just a horrible call
That's a dumb rule which costed new England
This game will show which fans know the rules and which ones don't.
Seems like the refs don’t know the rules either
The ref dumb asf
Sometimes, shouldn't celebrate that last min goal, u know that in such a position, VAR will have the answer..
ABSOLUTLY THE WORST CALL I THINK I HAVE EVER SEEN. no where in the rules does it state that a player cannot be in an offsides position on a shot. if the ball was passed to the offsides player then yes off sides. but this was a direct shot at the goal with no intent of a pass. these refs should be fined
Y'all need new editors
Just so everyone know pro-referee came out and said the goal was wrongfully disallowed. I hope Cincinnati completely batters NYRB this week. We’ll get our revenge in the Leagues Cup.
we both got our cut, we wrongfully lost to philly weeks earlier to a penalty call the ref admitted he got wrong.
gg
terrrrrrible ref. dude didnt even try to play the ball, no obstruction. not offside.
I'm going to follow this game directly here from Brazil
LETS GO RED BULLS MWAAAAAAH
Vrioni will pan out to be a giant waste of money
I don't like that at the end. The goalkeeper was never saving that. That is where VAR ruins football so much for me. Why can't the ref's use common sense sometimes
Valid point, but it’s because they don’t have any CS!
@@samiam6904also PRO just said that that was an awful call
I was at that game but the VAR is a chad
Que gol mal anulado foi esse gente 😂😂😂
I took a photo with the gk he’s very nice
Coronel?

BS red card and a BS offside call. . . MLS is as fixed as the NFL anymore. . .
It's not fixed, just terrible refs. Trust me, us Red Bulls fans feel your pain.
I don’t think it’s fixed. The refs are just not as mature as the league has grown. And they definitely lean towards a few of the “big” teams.
Offside shouldn't have been called but the red card is totally deserved. He was late and went studs up into the groin.
There doesn't need to be intent, it endangered the safety of the player, clear red
Blessing was a red card
Bou taken down should’ve also been a red
Score should be 2-2
Refs score: 33%
Sux that he ran back to get onside only to be interfering with the goalies view while offside.. 🤷🏽♂️
Why are MLS games so rigged?
Отличный матч
