Thanks for your hard work. My dad grew up on a farm in Oklahoma. His dad(my grandpa I never met) dropped dead in a field behind some livestock pulling equipment. They were just gonna get a tractor the next year. Heart attack. I didn't think men used livestock as of the late forties, but they were dirt poor.Dad moved to California and worked the fields near Lompoc, Ca after school. And also on a cattle ranch. He would go to the midwest and harvest wheat during summer months ending up at the Canadian border. Hard work but he appreciates what farmers have now. Makes it better for all of us.
We don't know how to do much else besides farming, it's our way of life. We are just glad that people appreciate it and all the farmers before us (like your dad and grandad) that busted their butts so we could all succeed.
this is unreal man! our new 12 row planter seems enormous to me here in nw ohio. i can't even imagine looking back and over 50 feet and not even seeing the end yet. awesome job!
I've farmed and been around farming all my life but I've never seen equipment of this scale. I'm really amazed. I guess nobody has enough contiguous acres around here for it make sense.
Hey, we farm in Southwest Iowa and Northwest Missouri. We farm 7,500 acres.150 head of cattle and 200 head of pigs. Most of our land is in Rock Port,Missouri but we own some in Hamburg,Ia.
impressive watching something like this considering the biggest plant we can have up in ND is about 30ft at the max. just too many hills and valleys. one side of the planter would be holding it up and the other side would be hanging in the air.
48 row planter, what are the row spaces? How wide is the planter Altogether? Serious Kit you have! Makes what we have here in Ireland Look miniature! does the Draw bar extend there at The end when your folding the implement? Great video
John Deere 6830 fan 30 inch spacing, 120 foot wide. The drawbar does not extend, there is a sleeve type deal around it that slides on the drawbar when folding.
Just one question... okay, two. 1- How big (how many acres) is this field? For me, it's around 400 acres. 2- In Europe, we haven't such large planters like this from video. Can You tell me, where grain is pouring? In one of the three tank or all?
The video was from at least two different fields but the large field is over 300 acres in size. The seed feeds through all tanks. One tank is designated as a refuge tank but most seed is refuge in a bag now so we use all three the same.
Don't care about all the B.S.-i couldn't find the credits for who sings the song. That's a GREAT song!!! Hey, and keep feeding me cause i'm always hungry!! Thanks!!!!
Two questions. Do you guys have any trouble with loosing GPS and when you do, do you just have to shut down until you receive signal? And the second just out of curiosity can you just put on 48 rows as your end rows and it be enough to get it turned around on the ends? (I am assuming you have row shut offs is why i ask the question) Other then that GREAT video's!
Do you find yourself having to refill this planter quite often (how many acres per fill)? Looks like a rather small tank for seed that's supplying seed to 48 rows. I have no idea though. Is it tough going down back roads?
No dust mask when filling the planter? I hardly wear the proper PPE but seed treatments are the one thing I don't take any chances on especially the dust.
LOLTomatoes Because of your stupid comments and overall lack of respect for everyone, we would love for you to stop watching our videos and commenting on them. But, since we will be dead from GMO's and seed treatment dust provoked cancer I guess you probably won't see anymore videos from us. We will see you all on the other side!

alphasxsignal - You sure seem to be quickly popping up on the ignorant list lately. Whether you think you eat it or not, you probably have or are. We aren't here to start a debate of GMO vs. Non GMO but if you believe all the GMO propaganda then you are gullible.
LOLTomatoes Stop preaching your GMO vs non GMO hatred on our page. We don't go to your page and tell you why Call of Duty is bad for people because it glorifies violence.
LOLTomatoes We aren't going to argue gmo vs non gmo with you no matter how much you try and justify things to us. And it's not our sole purpose in life to make monsanto or dupont rich, we get better results with those genetics...it's a business decision to make us more money to put into our operation. That's it. We understand the negativity about successful companies like that but they wouldn't be taking over the market share if they weren't good products that produce results.
You are ignorant, we do it to make us money. Do they make money, well I sure hope so...just like I hope you make money at farming. So why would we want to make less money for our operation just to give the big companies an F U when it's costing us money? Stop drinking that anti Monsanto kool aid and stop using our channel to push your propaganda...actually I'll just take care of that for you and be done with you wasting our time.
***** You know, if people wanted to be "anti" anything, like in LolTomatoes case, then why don't they stop complaining on the internet and develop an alternative? World would be a lot farther if that were the case.
Mate i am a permaculture performer, and a basic advice for our highly acre performance, are both, not to plow the soil and neither to be monoculture crop. Plowing is the greatest cause of soil erosion and performance lost, the proces is faster when machinery is used.. the mayority of us suggest to stop doing it
Axel Andres Amor Chin In Central Iowa almost everyone extensively uses this method. Because of the flat ground it is both cost productive as well as non eroding.
Holy cow!! I'm used to a 6-row JD planter and a 8-year old 150 horsepower tractor. Thats insane!!!! Nice job!

and to all the men who spent years planting by hand pre 1900's. This would make them smile ha.

I thought the same thing. We run 12 row 40" spacing so we are 40 feet wide. Their planter is massive.
I've farmed and been around farming all my life but I've never seen equipment of this scale. I'm really amazed. I guess nobody has enough contiguous acres around here for it make sense.
John Ross Finch same here in Arkansas, 40 foot planter's as big as we get round here.
Nice video and always been a John Deere fan and this is one of my favorite songs to listen to when working ground in the tractor and have a nice day
a great video of what you do as a farmer god bless you we all need you.
Wow I can remember when a 12 row was huge and no markers to bend up!
Got my vote for official video good job boys
love the message. freedom, God, Family, guns, right to drive for success!

Great vid. Thanks for sharing. Great aerial camera work also.
Really cool, thanks for posting.
i'd be all over the headlands on the first round with such wide stuff. Well done
Wow that's is a nice set up.
Good job on the corner of the field! What are y'all calling "track till"? Tracks on the planter?
Thank s for the quick reply.
That's a BEAUTIFUL rig!
love your vids!

great video , congrats
Thanks!
first off awsome vid did you guys use track till on the planter this year
I make a film about preparing matzot for celiac sufferers. Can I take 4 seconds of sowing from this beautiful film? Thank you
how do you handle overlapping? is it just being run over with the rows switched off?
Skippy1411 yes
I like the operation (the movement ?.. I don't know if it's the right word?)... in 2.18mn
Thanks!
what a beast of a tractor at over 500 horse
JD 9560RT ?
Do you have any ground with large hills? Thank god for auto steer and automatic swath control! Haha

oh lord thats wide!! takes a fair pilot to operate that so!
Greats from Brazil
How are you doing on the shore ? if you spend 2 times the drill is huge but if you pass one as turn around so that there is no plant in parts ?
What are you using for the aerial shots, I'm guessing a quad copter of some sort? Nice video. (Edited) Whoops, should have checked show more first.
Quad copter and Final Cut Pro for our editing.
Awesome video!
i live in Romania nice vide congratulation
We have yet to try any 20" rows so I guess we don't really have much of an opinion on it yet.
Just one question... okay, two.

***** Thanks a lot for quickly answer!

did the the track till make a big difference this year? I can see every were that our DB90 center wheels went this here the compaction was horrible
Don't care about all the B.S.-i couldn't find the credits for who sings the song. That's a GREAT song!!! Hey, and keep feeding me cause i'm always hungry!! Thanks!!!!
Chris Cagle - "I'll grow my own"
very nice video, bye and good day.
Do you run any sort of subsoil shank ahead of the planters
How do those tracks hold up compared to wheeled tractors?
48 row? What are you guys putting in the little white tanks?
Two questions. Do you guys have any trouble with loosing GPS and when you do, do you just have to shut down until you receive signal? And the second just out of curiosity can you just put on 48 rows as your end rows and it be enough to get it turned around on the ends? (I am assuming you have row shut offs is why i ask the question) Other then that GREAT video's!
Thanks! We very seldom have trouble losing the GPS signal and we can turn it around in 48 rows but typically we run two passes on the ends.
Do you find yourself having to refill this planter quite often (how many acres per fill)? Looks like a rather small tank for seed that's supplying seed to 48 rows. I have no idea though. Is it tough going down back roads?
hey man great video al always :)
how many acres can you seed with one refill?
Around 300 acres.
wow thats alot :)
No dust mask when filling the planter? I hardly wear the proper PPE but seed treatments are the one thing I don't take any chances on especially the dust.

We have a little 8 row that we use mostly for replants. Most of our fields are large enough to accommodate the large planter.
