    The hose clamps to hold the rings in place is a genious idea!

    Hey man, great video. Should come in handy. Did you have a hard time getting the top end out without removing the motor? I'll be changing head gasket on a buddies bike and would like to leave it in if it would be easier. Thanks!

      Thank you and no, luckily these bikes have plenty of room to do the job in-frame. A SOHC CB750 though......different story!

    Thanks for sharing these insights....big help!! I'm working myself on a gs 450 from 81. I have a question. Do you use sealant on the gaskets; 1 side 2 sides or not at all? I have been looking on some forums and I find all kinds of advise. I tend to go for no sealant but I don't want a leak either. Whats your view on this?

      Thats a good question and one there will never be a 100% answer to lol. I typically never put a gasket on dry as I need stuff to be fixed the first time and will use generally a very thin film of grey permatex on both sides. I have seen a person use white lithium grease which I want to try
