PIR sensors allow you to sense motion, almost always used to detect whether a human has moved in or out of the sensors range. They are small, inexpensive, low-power, easy to use and don't wear out. For that reason they are commonly found in appliances and gadgets used in homes or businesses. They are often referred to as PIR, "Passive Infrared", "Pyroelectric", or "IR motion" sensors.

trigger mode is not soldered in pir sensor, it's selected using a jumper. If you don't have a jumper, simply solder a small piece of wire to the pins.

You can use a relay with it to control AC devices. 5second delay is the limitation of the sensor, it cannot be removed.

This sensor works in DC 5v only, to work in car battery, a 7805 regulator has to be used.
