@savagegamez1674, what a very smart observation from you...... I am a black African and I listen to a lot of TH-cam channels from African Americans and a common theme amongst them is this....... They feel very threatened by new immigrants whom they feel will outnumber them and outvote them, I happen to understand this sentiment and I agree with it. All those minorities now in America are only enjoying the civil rights they do because of the marches, demonstrations and fight back led by black Americans, supported ba a few white people and some Jewish people as well. The Democrats think that every black American wants more black immigrants and that Latinos want more immigrants..... That isn't true.

@ so it worked on you… not a surprise either. It wasn’t Trump or his supporters who told you Biden was the picture of cognitive health so you would approve of him getting the nomination so that the donor class could later short cut the democratic process and replace him avoiding a real primary challenge. Sorry boss. The lies about Trump were far more significant and numerous than anything Republicans put forward. He still didn’t call white nationalists “very fine people” no matter how many times it’s reported and repeated, even if it’s Barack Obama saying it. It did not happen. Alpha Bank didn’t happen. Neither did Russian bounties. And my personal favorite, he damned sure wasn’t the one looking like he just soiled himself on a world stage like idiots such as David Packman were telling his followers. Now he’s crying because he’s losing subscribers in huge numbers. That’s the kind of bs that cost you.

Frankly, the diplomacy in reaching across the aisle that Democrats have been attempting is the American way. They are not extremists. Apparently you have to be an a****** extremist, undiplomatic, uncompromising, unwilling to listen to anyone else who shares the outcomes of your policies. The Democrats literally did everything they could possibly do. Kamala and Tim were up against the most disgusting team of bastards to lead us since Andrew Jackson. Feeding children breakfast, having a clear economic vision for the future to support the Middle class, mending relationships with allies, having a plan for climate change and immigration, America is rejecting that. But only by a margin of 1 to 2%. Which means that half of us get to die because the other half of us refused to listen.

Once he began out-fundraising and out-rallying Hillary embarrassing the establishment the DNC went full bore collusion, to conspire with the corporate media and party insiders, to upend and ultimately (no two ways about it) cheat him out of the nomination.
The candidate who can engender massive rallies and impassioned supporters wiling to volunteer DOES NOT LOSE. Except and only when the party intervenes to top the scales (as they did for Biden in 2020).

They're supposed to be working for us but that's not the case and it's sad that we can't even do anything about it once they're in office. Kennedy's immigration reforms, to make it less biased, didn't look like this. It only passed, because of that. 275K/yr. quota. People with skills, and political refugees. Vetted. And family members. They didn't figure out until later, that admitting extended family members down the line, crushed the defined yearly quota, but it was too late.
Just like a lot of Democrats argue about how many Americans are struggling now, most college-educated people don't live in border towns. When your town's school class sizes double or triple, overnight ,without larger facilities, or more teachers, and there's suddenly no housing available, longtime residents are going to be resentful. It wouldn't be as big of an issue, if anyone in D.C. had said or done anything to stall this decades-long, spreading housing crisis for American renters. Or provided needed subsidies for Americans, teetering on the brink, it would be different. But since we don't, people become resentful of newcomer aid. We have enough money to take care of everybody, especially with controlled immigration. But we don't, and that's the root of 90% of our problems. No matter who is in office. And none of this means that children should ever be separated, from the family they're with, or that there's ever an excuse to house people inhumanely.

Berniie has been preaching the same message for 30+ years and is 100% right. Ralph Nader is 100% right. This loss of our democracy was brought to you by the tone-deaf, donor-class-approved neoliberal Democratic Party. I was trying to remember the last time we had a democratic candidate and president that I didn't end up deeply disappointed with. I can't. I have had to drag myself to the polls every year with more and more resistance each and every time, and it was never a vote for the candidate as much as a vote against the Republicans. Bernie was the only candidate I could have actually VOTED FOR. Okay, I did vote for Obama, but he was the same stripe of neo-liberal Wall St corporate hack as all the others, so I give up.

TLDR- Harris ran a 1990s style campaign in a modern election, and it cost her the middle.
I was one of undecided voters. I waited almost until Election Day to make my choice. This was my first time voting (felon with restored voting rights after years of getting jerked around by a very conservative court system).
I'm pro choice, a strong advocate for racial equality, and a hardcore anti fascist. Like Antifa hardcore. I used to be a punch a Nazi type.
    I voted for Trump.
    1. Harris had every chance to win me over. She failed every single time. She came off as either SFH drunk or flat out incompetent.
    2. The obvious and proven lies by the likes of CNN and MSNBC was just way too much.
    3. Social media, specifically podcasts. I got to listen to Trump talk unscripted, and with no filter for almost 11 total hours. Harris did 2 puffs and a sex podcast.
She spent less time ON THE AIR during the election cycle than Trump spent TALKING unscripted.
I got to hear JD Vance and Musk do the same thing. Walz? Not one podcast.
I'm 40 and I'm probably the last gen that remembers life before SM in a meaningful way. I was 24 when Facebook became a juggernaut in 08. I remember landlines.
That said, SM is how myself and others my age consume news and information. Harris avoided it like the plague. Of course we as the under 45 demo voted 3-1 across the board for DT. He's the only one we actually heard or saw.
That's what you're missing. We never saw her. She didn't engage us at all. We don't watch TV, MSM or browse FB (that's basically SM for seniors now).
Harris went on CYD. Really? I know 2 people that ever saw that show in their life. Trump went on the heavy hitters and shined. Harris hid and got absolutely victimized on election day because of it.

Frankly, my heart sank when I saw the election results. I reside in the Philippines, and it was still difficult to watch. However, this should be a wake up call for democrats. STOP PRETENDING TO BE THE PEOPLE'S PARTY, WHILE CONTINUING TO SERVE THE BILLIONAIRE CLASS, AND STOP SUPPORTING WARS AND PROMOTING DISCORD ACROSS THE PLANET. Trump announced in his victory speech that he would stop the wars. Maybe if Harris had said the same thing while running, she would have won. I have little doubt that her administration's support of the Israeli slaughter in Gaza made a big difference. On the other hand the illusion that Trump would be better on the economy was a persistent one. Ordinary folks are HURTING in America, financially. Of course the republicans will make it worse, but only marginally so. Personally, I wish there was a viable 3rd party not controlled by the moneyed class. America has a greater wealth disparity than any other developed nation. Finally, it's clear that the 'rule of law' is dead in the US when a convicted felon can run for and win the presidency. The message sent here to the rest of us is: "break any law you want to your advantage just like the wealthy do." Of all the things I've mentioned this might be worst and most dangerous precedent. Good luck to my fellow USAn's!

I talk to many people as a counselor. What I heard over and over is that people were exhausted and hurting over the prices of groceries, gas, and other household needs. Also the cost of rents and little to no access to affordable housing was high on the list. Thirdly, immigration was a big concern. Despite the "statistics" of a solid economic recovery, people have and continue to personally struggle - so, damn the statistics. The Democrats failed to identify with most of the population on these concerns and have suffered a sound defeat. Harris tried to do it - but it was too little too late.

On the point of immigration, the Democrats have completely missed the point.
There is another issue that never gets said. I am not against international students. However students from other countries get their US college tuitions paid for by their governments, China for example pays students to study here. Meanwhile most US citizens can’t afford college and are penalized if they do study here with massive debt loads which ruin their lives for decades.
Many of these students come from abroad then they stay and find the professional jobs, they are often more likely to find them, and are willing to work for less.
As far as low paid jobs, it’s true that much of the undocumented immigrants seek that. But they are also willing to work for much less.
Native born citizens are squeezed out of opportunities. And many citizens no longer believe in supporting the military and don’t want that opportunity, so the US government gives immigrants a special path to citizenship by enlisting.
I have been a teacher and have told my students to just learn German and go to school for free there.
But the immigration policies are coupled with reducing all viable opportunities for US citizens.

Some of Nader's criticisms have to be reviewed state by state. California, Illinois, New York, Washington and Oregon all initiated progressive policies to the nth degree. On Tuesday the 5th of November California rejected tolerance of crime and rent controls on rental housing. California, Illinois, and New York have major fiscal problems. Confiscating profits of small and large businesses along with raising income taxes on the general electorate is resulting in mass migration and worsening the problem. Ralph sees a world he thinks it should be and not what it is. It is messy, fickle and greedy world. The Dem's problem is it has been taken over by the messy, fickle and greedy people.
