Thank you for your lesson on Daniel. It is so nice that LDS members are teaching Bible and Scripture Prophecies. Until recently other Christian scholars have had that stage. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your podcast. All are fascinating and i always look forward to them! Thank you for all the research you do. There is so much going on in the world today, so much noise and deceiving voices and people out there!
Your videos are great and well supported by scripture and prophets. They are on par for me more than most of the other video content I come across. I found it really interesting to study ancient Jewish traditions on marriage. If you study the 3 parts that are in that culture. I think you will understand the scriptures better and the temple better. After studying that I realized just how much our endowment session is related to their 3 part ceremony of marriage. This includes as it mentions in DC the 30 minutes of silence, which they have before the bride decides if she wants to be married to the bridegroom. I found it very enlightening and a fascinating study/ Especially when you look at parts of our ceremony that have been taken out in recent years.
Thank you so much for this video. I remember seeing it while looking through some of your content for fun a couple sundays ago and thinking nothing special of it, but today i was reading that reference in Matthew and i wondered what it was about and knew i could come right here to learn, so yeah thank you so much!!
I like what some other LDS podcasts have said. The thing's that have been foretold can happen multiple times. For instance the temple service bein taken away could of happened during covid. It could also happen in the future. The Lord doe's things and it doesn't always mean it was one event and thats it, one and done. I do believe we are very close to his coming back in Glory.
I hope, I’m not sure how much longer the world or people can take it. I read 30 mil.People a year stop going to church. And within 10 years half stop believing all together. Scary.
Uh.... may I suggest... The Olivet discourse is referenced 3 times in the New Testament and of course in JSM (which contains 2 A of D'). The Abomination is clearly defined by the Luke version: Matthew 24:15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel... (v.16) flee..." Mark 13:14 "But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel... flee..." Luke 21:20 "And when ye shall see JERUSALEM COMPASSED WITH ARMIES, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. V21 Then let them which are in Judea flee..." This is the abomination, that Jerusalem would surrounded and threatened with imminent destruction (desolation). In the last days manifestation, it can only be held back by two authorized and appointed Prophets. Right, the spoiling of the temple by Antiocus IV Epiphanies is seen by some as a type, but it is not the one Daniel is referring to in Daniel 9:24-27. Antiocus only defiled the Temple. In Daniel 9, he warns of what actually happened between 66 and 70 AD when the Armies of General Cestius Gallus besieged (encompased) then withdrew from Jerusalem. At this point Christian escaped, heeding the warning of the Olivet discourse. Because... as Gallup was withdrawing to Cesarea Maritima his troops were attacked by jews and zealots. As a result, Nero lost all composure and dispatch General Vespasian and his son Titus to finish the job. Vespasian started in the north and swept over Israel and Judea like a flood (Daniel 9:26) and reestablished the encirclement of Jerusalem. But then... Nero dies June 9, 68 AD and after "the year of 4 cesars" Vespasian returns to Rome as the next Cesar (king) and his son Titus (prince: Daniel 9:29) is left to continue the conquest and intended capture of the city and temple. The fire that destroyed the temple was not intended but resulted in the Romans (the people of the prince that shall come 9:26), tearing the complex apart to recover the melted gold and silver from the treasure, fulfilling Christ's prophecy (Matt 23:34 - 24:2). And don't fall into the Evangelical mistake of interpreting the "he" at the beginning of Daniel 9:27 as 👿The Antichrist👿. It's not. The singular male pronoun requires a singular male antecedent. The only qualified one is "messiah" referenced in v 26. The "he" is Messiah. This changes everything regard Evangelical Dispensational eschatology. They need a boogey man to make a "pre-trib" rapture useful for their purpo$e$$$. As to rebuilding the Temple. Yes, the Jews will rebuild the authorized temple in Jerusalem... but only... after being "puified" and "purged" ... " that they may offer unto the Lord an offering IN RIGHTEOUSNESS" as is seen in Malachi 3:1-6. Moroni quoted Malachi to Joseph Smith. John the Baptist referenced this passage when he ordained Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdrey. B.R. McConkie is right that the temple will be built by the jews. But it can only be "pleasant unto the Lord" (v.4) AFTER the Sons of Levi have been "refined... purified... and purged" by the messenger of The Lord's covenant, THE One who is to come, THE purifier and THE Redeemer. Doctrine and Covenants 45:51-53. "And then shall the Jews look upon me and say: What are these wounds in thine hands and in thy feet? Then shall they know that I AM the Lord... I am he who was lifted up. I am Jesus that was crucified. I am the Son of God. ...then shall they lament because they persecuted their King." Also 2 Nephi 10:3. Daniel 9 was a prophecy to prepare Judea to accept their King. They were expecting him because of the timeline Daniel laid out. But most of Judea rejected him because He failed to meet their expectations, and Daniel gives in that prophecy a sign to them that Messiah had come and they rejected him. That sign would an abomination both spiritual and temporal, and that would bring a desolation, both spiritual and national. Joseph Smith Matthew tells us we will see that sign again. And those who are looking for a different sign, will not.
If you have a TH-cam channel, could you make a video on this topic? I am complete agreement that Dispensationalism is creeping into our LDS understanding of these events and many are looking beyond the mark
Turn it around and we have been living in the Desolation of Abomination world-wide for at least a decade' the Abomination of Desolation is yet to come!
Great videos. You mentioned the LDS interpretation of THE anti-christ. Please explain and how the book of Revelation and the end times in the Book of Mormon overlap, impact each other or do they? I really wish some in current Prophetic and Apostolic leadership in the Church would explain this
Technically the BYU Jerusalem Center can be converted into a temple at anytime. And its construction was done with Israeli construction engineer, Eliezer Rahat, with Israeli architect David Resnick. Thus fulfilling the prophecy of the Jerusalem temple being built by the Jews.

Would you do a video about what treasures we would have in heaven? Christ says that a few times and it’s mentioned in all the standard works, so what treasures are we working on here in mortality that would be waiting for us in heaven? Being sealed with our family is one I think but what others?
I heard a near death experience that talked sbout kindnesses we do for others being like gold shingles on our mansions. 😇 it is the kind of thing I love to daydream about sometimes. I think the greatest treasures are the quality of the relationships we form

We shall see that He is a man like ourselves. 2 And that same sociality that exists among us here will exist among us there. Only it will be coupled with eternal glory. Which glory we do not now enjoy.
Based on current construction process, it would take 8 to 10 years to build the 3 Temple. That depends on how large it will be. If we take all the signs of the times we have, as being literal. We have some time to go. We must watch, look and listen👍🇦🇺🙏
@@robsin2810 do you not see the danger of assuming how signs will be fulfilled? The Jews largely missed his first coming because they were expecting something different. I, for one, will not be making that same mistake.

@@CaseyLee-bd5fi I have seen programs on YT and say the Jews in Israel have everything ready to go. They have a large 7 candle in gold, the Aaronic Priest have been found through their Genealogy, they have the Robes for that Priesthood, curtains, clothes etc...and are already to go. Buildings of today's world are built very quickly. I can understand the 7 years. The number 7 is the most used number in Scripture it means:- It is a Spiritual number and means completeness, fullness and is the most perfect number 6 + 1=7 The number 6 means fallen man 666 is imperfect in triplicate and an enemy to God. The number 1 means God or heavenly Father, the number 2 is Jesus Christ and 3 is holy Ghost in numbers. Your right it would be an Aaronic Priesthood Temple as part of the restoration. The Melchizedek LDS Temple would be built with the conversion of the Jews. All the LDS Temples are Melchizedek Priesthood Temples.
Daniel 12 is what Christ was referring to, specifically Danel 12 verse 11. Reading verses 8-12, Daniel learns some key things about the last abomination of desolation. Verses 8 and 9, this desolation is to happen in the last days ("sealed till the time of the end"). Verse 10, we learn only the righteous will recognize the timing of the sign. This is because the wicked do not make covenants with God, only the wise. The wise will understand because their covenants will lead them to the temple where the daily sacrifice is made. ("Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.") On March 25, 2020, the temples closed worldwide and the daily sacrifice was ended for several months, 1290 days later just as Daniel said, on October 7th, 2023 Israel is attacked. 45 days later (1335 days) Israel announces a temporary cease fire and hostage exchange (only one so far). Note that Daniel says in verse 11 that the abomination of desolation is set up at this time, not that it is completed, but only set up. Seems to me like we are already there.
I love all of this- thank you for this overview. I just have to ask what you think of this google search; “How many days are between March 25th 2020 and October 6th 2023?” I sincerely have no idea what it actually means… but I’d love your thoughts on if Daniel 12:11 was just fulfilled. Notes: It’s October 6th (not 7th) because the Jews count the beginning of the day at sundown the day before. Also, if you research you’ll find that a few Jewish scholars are using these same two dates to say Daniel 12:11 was just fulfilled, because March 25th 2020 (along with being the worldwide official date of all temple closures) was ALSO the day Jerusalem was formally shut down due to Covid. Again. I sincerely don’t understand what it all means, but find the fact that the days between those two dates is exact to mean… something!! I’d love your thoughts!
At about 4:30 - 4:40 you are speaking of desolation possibly meaning a lack of revelation - for a time. But we've been promised that the Priesthood will never be taken from the earth again. Are you thinking that even though we have the Priesthood that we won't be getting any revelation? What about Pres Nelson's statement that we'll need the Holy Ghost in order to survive spiritually. How does your comment about revelation being removed for a time, fit in these two things I mentioned?
The "70th Week of Daniel" is never referred to as "the tribulation" (except by Christians with a misunderstanding of prophesy). Various examples of "tribulation" have been happening in the world for the past 2000 years. Jesus even told us that in the world we will have tribulation, as reaffirmed by other scripture (Jn.16:33; Rom.5:3). God's Word does, however, identify the second half of the "70th Week" as the Great Tribulation (Mt.24:21; Dan.9:27). So, even though the Church will experience "tribulation", we will NOT endure God's Wrath (1 Thes.1:10, 5:9; and Rom 5:9). When is God's Wrath poured out on the world?... During the later part of the Great Tribulation (probably about 5 months before Jesus' 2nd Coming - just enough time for the world to gather their armies at Armageddon). At Armageddon, God's Wrath is fully poured out.
VERY GOOD RESPONSE! Also, look at Rev 7:9/14 teaching that there are countless saints in white robes that have been washed in the Lamb's blood and have come out of GREAT tribulation. These are the latter-day Saints who serve Christ day and night in His temple.
@@wesunderwood7576 Yes, many of us will be martyred during that time (leading up to the Rapture). I think there's the possibility the USA could escape the worst of this persecution, depending on the choices we make in our current time. I've been to western Europe in recent years, and I've seen how their cultures have all but dismissed Biblical Christianity entirely! We need to remember that "secular" does NOT mean neutral... it means "no room for God here"!
@@RobTheTruth Yo Bro! Thanks for your comment. Dan.9:27 identifies Daniel's 70th Week as being divided in half by the Abomination of Desolation. Jesus Christ identifies the Abom. of Des. as the beginning of the Great Tribulation (Mt.24:21). No further distinction is given to the first 3 1/2 years of Daniel's 70th Week, other than it marks the revealing of the one who will "make a firm covenant withe the many". Presumably, this refers to the great deceiver making a pact with Israel. I believe the Church will see this happen.
So, as a sign, we have to wait for the third temple to be built and desecrated before Christs return? Or, is the current temple, which is a mosque, the one that will be destroyed? 🤔
@TheBenJiles I agree that Judah will probably build it. I've also read things like Bruce R McKonkie say it'll be the church, but it may only be a tabernacle type at least at first.

Daniel's hour is 7 years, so could the half hour of silence be 3.5 years? Could the half hour of silence be the first 3.5 years. It will seem like the heavens are closed, and God is not answering any prayers? Could it be that last great test to continue to believe in God going through great tribulations when heaven is silent and it feels like God has forsaken his people?
If Christ's mortal ministry was in the meridian of time, I'd like to see a theory about the end of the millennium being at 4000 AD, which makes the millennium begin around 3000 AD, obviously assigning dates to things is rather dangerous, but that 1000 year timeframe makes sense because these things would happen over multiple generations, making it easier for people to miss/forget the signs and prophecies.
Not one to dispute. If the Jews build an operating temple (lowercase?) in Jerusalem would it still lack the Authority to perform related ordinances? Whomever the two Witnesses are, they have my respect and gratitude. In any case, this is an interesting turn of events and dynamics.
In Daniel 9:24-27, the end-time fulfillment of "seventy weeks" refers to the time from the beginning of the seventh thousand years to the coming of Christ. Now, the end of the sixth thousand years/the beginning of the seventh thousand years occurs in spring of 2033. The word "weeks" in Daniel's end-time prophecy refers not to a period of seven days, nor to a period of seven years, but to a period of _seven months_ . Therefore, there will be 70 × 7 months, or 490 months total between spring 2033 and the end of the tribulation. The seventy weeks mentioned in verse 24 of Daniel 9 refer to the time given to Elias (the man who will restore all things during the end times, prior to the Second Coming, as prophesied by Jesus in Matt. 17:10-11) to finish the restoration/restitution of all things that he will have to do (and which he will have already started by then, in the latter end of the sixth thousand years). He will have about 41 years total to complete his "all things" mission. D&C 77:12 also refer to this same period of time and to the work that Elias will do during those days. Verse 25 of Daniel 9 specifically mentions the restoration and rebuilding of Jerusalem ( _that Elias_ will do during the first 69 weeks of months.) Verses 26 and 27 of Daniel 9 refer to the beast and his apostates of that time and of their wicked works, and also of their end: consummation. I hope this helps to clarify things.
As far as i can tell, he doesn't make many videos about what current Prophets and Apostles have counseled or have to say about any of this. It's one of the most frustrating parts of his interpretation of what is happening around us currently. I couldn't speak at all about why that is. It's just what I've observed.
I saw something about President Nelson said there are only 2 things left. Gathering Israel and He comes! I'll just keep striving to live every day like it could happen tomorrow!
I love Kevin's content. It's interesting a well thought out and researched from a man's understanding. However, I find that it is incongruent with President Nelson's messaging. One of them is not fully correct. And I know which one I'm going to bet on.
It reminds me very much of President Nelson saying, "My dear brothers and sisters, do you see what is happening right before our eyes? I pray that we will not miss the majesty of this moment! The Lord is indeed hastening His work."
There is always a danger of mixing christian tradition with LDS teaching. Least people think that the LDS accept Christian teaching unsupported and based on supposition as true and as the LDS think.
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Rev ch 11 The first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation the two witnesses call the people to repentance at the temple in Jerusalem (built by the Jews). For this entire time the people are trying to kill them without success. Finally the Beast from the pit makes war with them and kills them. The two witnesses are left in the street of 3 1/2 days. During this time the people are rejoicing and sending gifts one to another, Amazon next day delivery. My thinking is that this shedding of innocent blood of the two witnesses is the abomination of desolation, which happens in the middle of the 7 year tribulation period.
The Silence before the second coming may be the calming of the elements that was warning voice before his coming. DC 88 "90 And also cometh the testimony of the voice of thunderings, and the voice of lightnings, and the voice of tempests, and the voice of the waves of the sea heaving themselves beyond their bounds." The silencing of the elements will probably catch people by surprise and say that the Lord will not come. "47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;" Sometime before that the spirit will cease to be with the gentiles and missionary will end. A self inflicted spiritual silence for the gentiles. As with the Nephites they began to dispute his coming. "4 And there began to be great doubtings and disputations among the people, notwithstanding so many signs had been given." That silence will probably take many by surprise as a thief in the night.
The temple that the Jews build will be a levitical temple. They only were giving the keys to the levitical priesthood under the mosaic law and performed ceremony according to the levitical priesthood. It will a temple much like the Kirkland temple. After Christ comes the temple will have to be rebuilt as a Melchizedek temple enabling to do all the ordinance of the Melchizedek priesthood. It does not necessarily mean that the temple the Jews build will be destroyed.
The abomination of desolation was the great apostasy. Vs 31 talks about the desolation ending with the gospel being preached. Other apostle talk about a famine which is a famine for the word of God. "31 And again, this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come, or the destruction of the wicked; 32 And again shall the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, be fulfilled." There is no indication of a second abomination of desolation, Something more less on going until the fig tree is ripe. Chris does not speak of two abomination of desolation. vs 12 speak of it beginning with the destruction of Jerusalem. "12 When you, therefore, shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, concerning the destruction of Jerusalem, then you shall stand in the holy place; whoso readeth let him understand." Christ does not speak of a second destruction of Jerusalem.
Help! Seriously please, someone. Now, if this "temple" is a man: can't it just be like Ezekiel was told to do; place a "mark" [...], etc... Revelations "mark", follow me; pick up what I'm putting down: moreover to me God doesn't care geographic location, nor a people per say. I'm believe it's more simpler, yet has a far deeper meaning: than what we've been trained to think. Especially about Apollyon, the two witnesses, angle flying in the midst of heaven; and the angel/ messenger John spake with.
Unless it's dedicated by one holding the priesthood keys required, any temple built by the jews between now and Christ's appearance at the mount of olives will be spiritually desolate already, as the jews are in, and we'll continue to be in, gross apostasy until Christ's return.
The sons of Levi don't need to be ordained to the Aaronic priesthood, they have it by birthright. We learn about it in the D&C. The righteous sons of Aaron will offer a righteous sacrifice that is acceptable to God in the last days. The temple they build will be an Aaronic temple, just like the previous ones in Jerusalem.
@MelchizedeckPriest Actually, they do have to be ordained to the Priesthood. .... "No man take this honor (the Priesthood) upon himself...." (Heb 5:4). The righteous sons of Levi, have the birthright, but ordination is always required. That is taught in the D&C 121 and in other sections of the D&C. ... Just something to think about, friend.
@@MarkHigbee they do need to be ordained. They also need to be operating under priesthood keys. God does not work outside his order. D&C tells us that He shows us a pattern in all things.
The sons of Levi/Aaron have the Aaronic priesthood by birthright. I suspect they were preordained to the Aaronic priesthood before they were born. The priesthood is eternal. Only the Gentiles and the descendants from other tribes need to be ordained to the Aaronic priesthood because they are not the sons of Levi. See D&C 68:21

GREAT VIDEO! 2 Nephi 25:18 prophecies "a false messiah" or an "antichrist assistant" will arise and deceive many in the last days: [... they need not look forward any more for a messiah to come, for there should not any come, save it should be a false messiah which should deceive the people.] John saw in chp 13 this false messiah rise up out of the earth as the 2nd beast or later identified as the false prophet acting as a devil working miracles. Jesus reveals the false messiah or "antichrist assistant" will come out of the desert of a wilderness land, out of his secret hiding place and that we are to NOT believe the false claims and miracles which shall deceive the very elect who are inactive and out of touch with the Lord's Spirit. Also, Apostle Paul calls the antichrist "the man of sin" or "the son of perdition" who will be "revealed" in his time of the latter days or in other words "come out of hiding in his secret place in the desert," as well, in our day for all to see. Paul also teaches this antichrist man will deceive the world by the miracles of the false messiah and as the antichrist man he will sit as a god in the 3rd built temple by the Jews in Jerusalem. This of course will be such an abomination - "The Abomination of Desolation" no doubt!
The first statement you made seems incorrect. The disciples were showing Jesus all the Temple buildings, and Jesus said not one stone would be left standing. Matthew 24 King James Version 24 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? He was not referencing all of Jerusalem. Since you believe that the Bible has been corrupted and the teachings corrupted, then how do you know any of what you teach from it is even remotely correct if it is corrupt?

And don't fall into the Evangelical mistake of interpreting the "he" at the beginning of Daniel 9:27 as
👿The Antichrist👿.
" that they may offer unto the Lord an offering
IN RIGHTEOUSNESS"
as is seen in Malachi 3:1-6.

Based on current construction process, it would take 8 to 10 years to build the 3 Temple. That depends on how large it will be. If we take all the signs of the times we have, as being literal. We have some time to go. We must watch, look and listen👍🇦🇺🙏

They could make it faster of course, if needed.
("Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.")
On March 25, 2020, the temples closed worldwide and the daily sacrifice was ended for several months, 1290 days later just as Daniel said, on October 7th, 2023 Israel is attacked. 45 days later (1335 days) Israel announces a temporary cease fire and hostage exchange (only one so far). Note that Daniel says in verse 11 that the abomination of desolation is set up at this time, not that it is completed, but only set up. Seems to me like we are already there.
I love all of this- thank you for this overview. I just have to ask what you think of this google search;

This has been an on going question of mine as well. I hope he shares his thoughts.
We need to remember that "secular" does NOT mean neutral... it means "no room for God here"!
There are 3 1/2 year periods in revelation

I'm pretty sure the beginning of the First Resurrection was Christ. 🤔 I read that somewhere by a prophet
6:00 HANDS, not feet. nobody nailed my feet to anything, just the hands.

Verse 25 of Daniel 9 specifically mentions the restoration and rebuilding of Jerusalem ( _that Elias_ will do during the first 69 weeks of months.)
Verses 26 and 27 of Daniel 9 refer to the beast and his apostates of that time and of their wicked works, and also of their end: consummation.
I hope this helps to clarify things.
I have many theories about it and when it happens I will know for sure lol
I thought the defiling of the Temple was figurative.
In one of the footnotes in Matthew.
What does President Nelson say about all this?
As far as i can tell, he doesn't make many videos about what current Prophets and Apostles have counseled or have to say about any of this. It's one of the most frustrating parts of his interpretation of what is happening around us currently. I couldn't speak at all about why that is. It's just what I've observed.
The Prophet says we are very close
You get much more information by going to JS Matthew.

Proverbs 6:16-19
These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Rev ch 11
The first 3 1/2 years of the tribulation the two witnesses call the people to repentance at the temple in Jerusalem (built by the Jews).
