Would you say Pokémon has the worse hit rates? Thanks for showing your unboxing! I’m not into card collecting hardcore yet so I’m unfamiliar with most of the Pokémon side of things
Hi there, and welcome to the hobby! It’s a lot of fun, though it can be expensive, but definitely rewarding at times. Also, welcome to the Pokémon side of unboxing! To answer your question: As you start opening different sets, you’ll quickly get a sense of whether the pull rates are good or bad. Generally, I would categorize pull rates into three levels: Amazing, Decent, and, in the case of this particular set, Poor. Keep in mind that pull rates are largely luck-based, and this new set, in particular, has lower pull rates compared to some past releases. This trend is pretty common not just with Pokémon but with trading card games (TCGs) in general. This set because its so popular due to the Umbreon chase card and other eeveelutions. the set is highly sought after and for some reason Pokémon decided to tank the pull rates (assuming and not certain why the rates are bad). If you're hoping to pull a specific card, it can be tough-especially with sets that have lower pull rates. It’s important to be mindful of how many packs you choose to open, given that your chances of pulling something great may be lower. However, sets like Obsidian Flames had much better pull rates. A good approach is to do a bit of research, check out what others are saying about new sets, and watch some unboxing videos to get a better sense of what to expect. You’ll be able to quickly tell if a set is generous with its pulls or not. I hope that helps gives you a better perspective! Thanks for watching and good luck.
@ awesome wow thank you I greatly appreciate the insight of the TCG world thank you for taking the time out of your day to write this up and everything very generous and greatly thankful! I now know the answer I was looking for thank you!
