Dark Souls II: SOTFS - Unique Weapons With Special Abilities
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 11 ก.ย. 2020
- Even though there are many of them and some of which are pretty interesting, these still don't even come close to the strength and power of the ones from the original Dark Souls. This is pretty much the game where they started underpowering everything. I could name these for you but what fun would that be? Enjoy the hunt guys :) And for those of you who are familiar with these, which weapons do you think are unique and weren't in the video?

Dark Souls 2 weapons were bonkers. "Does your weapon have an innate elemental damage type? Would you like to infuse it to increase that damage? Would you then like to buff it to *further* increase that damage?!"
Dark Souls 2 does great in stacking damage
Wtf dude , thats so stupid , do u prefer the sistem of ds 3?
"Ohhh , ur weapon have 13 fire damage... Did u wanted to buff it... Welll fuck u🤗"
@@ivanvega3405 I feel like you are referring to the ringed knights weapons. At least the spear can buff its range and fire damage with the WA
“Wow, 12 for damage… thanks, I guess…”
@@morganpriest7726 ...dude i was talking about infusions , tf are u saying , they are garbage besides the ds2 ones🤣
@@ivanvega3405 the twin ringed knight great swords disagree
The weapons in DS2 are the most inspired and interesting of all DS's, not to mention the amount of armor sets with special abilities.
It's a Shame for the recycled movesets😞
@@giuseppeserraino227 that also happens in ds3 tho
Ds1 just has less weapons that's why they all look unique
@@andryuu_2000 dude wtf , in ds3 are plenty more movesets and many less weapons are just a lame

That probably was the most flashy way to defeat all those skeletons.
Also the easiest, soul greatsword just annihilates groups lol
These types of weapons are what made the weapons so memorable and unique. So many of the weapons, especially the DLC ones, are awesome.
Yes, and I am honest: I am not a fan of how weapons are in DS3. While I think the different Special Stances are a nice Idea, taking away Power Stancing to properly dual wield, while giving unique Dual Wielding only to a couple of weapons as a STANCE, was really disappointing =(
17:45 pettylurker was mad at that hit box lmao
I love this game, at least the Scholar edition, despite its flaws it does not deserve the hate, because it has so much variety and originality in its weapons, fashion and mechanics.
I agree. I am playing it now for the first time (second run trying to plat the game) and I really like it. I do feel bad knowing I’ve had to see videos on how to find stuff or what to do next, though. 😅😅 Makes me feel like a wimp.
Why do you only like the scholar edition? Just wondering. I prefer vanilla over scholar because of the changes to iron keep and dragon shrine and some others, but why don't you like vanilla and only scholar. Again, just wondering
@@caspertheemoghost1482cuz it sucks
SotFS is the best SoulsBloodKiro game
@@caspertheemoghost1482they added many more features in scholar and reduced the amount of enemies in many areas and also decreased aggression while adding more enemies in later playthroughs. TH-camrs like to cry about iron keep and the shrine but there are easy paths through once you know the layout.
8:02 PURE satisfaction
10:25 holy... I didn't know this bow was even a thing lol
10:25 that how i killed blue smelter demon
That's the "desire bow" or "Nashandra's Bow"
DS2 is easily my favorite. I just wish it handled better than a wet sock.
I've never seen Fume knight get bodied so hard before, that was pretty crazy.
tbf he is probably max level which enables crazy stuff like that.
15:12 This fist weapon has one of the most unique and interesting movesets in any Soulslike, it is SO much more than just a hadouken. It completely alters your moveset both when powerstancing and when using it on its own. Absolutely shame this video only shows the energy blast. It has a solid AoE on most one handed attacks, and it hits like a truck if you build it right. I use it dark infused with dark weapon, and it rips enemies to pieces like nothing else. It's slow and predictable, but when you get into a combo it's unstoppable. Probably my fave weapon in the whole game.

1. he buffed with like 4 spells and brightbug probably max level too
2. It's the prowling magus he dies in 10 seconds even if you fight with the ladle lol
I just wish it had a little bit better scaling
This video is like those false ads where they take a professional with the best training and preparation to test a gimmick product. Red tearstone ring + Brightbug + max scaling stats + weapon buff + Good player that gets to fight the same boss on NG until they win.
Drakewing UGS (4:35) is underappreciated. When I learned back then using the special move does insane damage through close quarters combat as opposed to ranged, I was sold.
24:32 I was confused for a sec like, "I don't remember that being an electric fence!" 😅
hey Ray, there’s a secret for you, in the kings memory, inside his boss room, into his memory, if you run all the way up those stairs, you’ll see velstadt, i don’t know if you noticed this already but i think it’s pretty cool considering Velstadt followed the king to the undead crypt
Damn sherlock
@@vornamenachname249 sup
I thought it was pretty obvious that Velstadt is supposed to be there. The Vendrick tasked and trusted him to guard his body from Nashandra. That’s what Velstadt’s whole purpose became.
That darklurker kill though 😆 🤣.

39:29 I would not have courage LOL
DS2 had such cool gear thats one of the reasons I like it more than DS1.
Is it wrong that I like DS1 more than 2?
@@bruh-sz3wy Ds1 and DS2 had both great equipment, weapons and armours were supreme, now ds3 is lackluster in that department but it had a great story though

It is kind of hard to tell what the unique abilities and animations were on some of the weapons with season buffs on
after the fight he attacks with the weapon special a few more times including unbuffed.
14:03 MGS has another unique attack if you dual-wield it with straightsword or another greatsword (not ultra). The sickest in the bunch. Sad you didn't show it.
Ahri please. Come here.

Lets fucking goooo
I think I have already see it with the FUGS are you sure it's impossible with ultra greatswords?
@@massinissababaci5356 with ultra you'll just perform an upper slam with both of them, as you could see in a video with Smelter Demon swords.
red rusted blades of vengarl too have special dual weild move
8:01 I love hit kill
The only things left out that I would personally say are worth mentioning:
-Majestic Greatsword, in addition to using Artorias' spin and leap when you do a heavy attack (1H and 2H respectively) does his crazy kick-flip combo if you powerstance it with another "sword" weapon.
-Many of these weapons can activate their special attacks when combined with the Warped Sword's and the Curved Nil Greatsword's unique powerstance moveset. Eleum Loyce causes all hits done while spinning to heal/drain health and the Ivory Straight Sword emits the long beam with the Warped. And the Smelter Swords do their fire explosion with Curved Nil. Just as a couple examples.
Other than those two:
-Since the Old Whip was included, other weapons with unique "hidden" effects: Blue Dagger (buffs magic, lowers ele. defense. Good offhand for casting). Ruler's Sword (gains AR for souls held, up to +159AR at 10M souls, loses AR at 0 souls). King's UGS (does durability damage per hit, breaks rings really easily). Forlorn Greatsword/Scythe/Dark Flame (gains AR for how hollowed you are, Forlorn weapons go to 0 AR when human. You still get str/dex scaling). Lost Sinner's Sword (deals self damage per swing, loses damage based on how much "sin" you've done, reducing to 0 AR at 30 sin. You still get your str/dex scaling though). Sanctum Mace (works like the Lifehunt Scythe from DS1, but poisons yourself each time you strike). Watcher's Shield (when you block a melee attack, sprays acid that drains weapon durability).
shrine of amana is the most beautiful place in all souls games. the atmosphere and music is just breathtaking
The enemies are even more breathtaking. Straightup strangulating even
Really loving SOTFS. It's the only game I haven't completed yet but I'm getting there.

13:11 Puzzling Stone Sword is a reference to the "Claymore" manga, where a once-only seen bandit's sword worked exactly like that.

I miss this kind of weapons in DS3
Try cinders mod
D4VID 1699 I know about it but half of the fun is when u see others using cool weapons and use it against them
I like unique weapons from DS3 more
D4VID 1699 I tried Cinders recently and I wished DS3 was this instead of what we got. Build customization is the reason why DS2 is my fave in the trilogy.
I feel like the main focus with DS3 was balancing.
Now keep in mind. This is a perfect build and the boss weapons are made of glass. They break in 5-10 heavy attacks.
Just for those who think the weapons are op. They are good but not op.
Bracing Knuckle Ring +2 if your friend for these.
Helix Halberd is top tier and its attack does not reduce durability
@@FrancescoMrC I was talking about the boss weapons.
@@joshuakim5240 they are still easy broken with that.

I only finished the game 3 or 4 times but the ivory king dlc has my favorite weapons in the entire game
Interesting to see how some of these evolved into weapons from Elden Ring. I saw that axe do the Mohgwyn Sacred Spear's NIHIL and nearly spat out my tea.
Amazing showcase, I do wish you showed the L2 on a powerstanced Majestic Greatsword though, you flip like Tony Hawk. Such an awesome vid though
This is what I love about DS2. The variety of weapons, armors, bosses and good looking areas are so many. I still hate the Frigid Outskirts though.
You mean horse fuck valley? What's not to love 😂
37:03 Burnt banana sword my favorite weapon in ds games. With bone fist or solar's sword give so much fun in pvp for me. And you forget about Santier's Spear
I know people talk shit on this game but to me it's my favorite magic is op in this game but the bosses are great and the maps have crazy atmosphere compared to 1 and 3

the diving chicken leg smack to the lurker at 17:40 was brilliant.

I'm so glad that I have this on PS3 and s.o.t.f.s on PS4.
There has never been DLC as good as ds2. Well worth having play station store open on PS3. There is no other way to play the original ds2
Love the ivory straightsword.
Cause it has my name in it.
Your name is straightsword? Cool
16:50 'hey kid, you wanna see me fight a Disturbed album cover with a giant electrified turkey leg?'
These weapons are all so cool but durability is a real hindrance when trying to use the unique aspects of them
Yeah, if you plan on using boss weapons with special attacks, you need to invest in some repair powder,or repair spells
How did you crystal magic weapon the moonlight sword I'm new to ds2 and I haven't been able to use crystal magic weapon or sunlight blade on some weapons is there something I'm doing wrong?
Royal rat vanguard was destroyed so hard he forget he was a quadruped

This is one of the many reasons why I prefer DS2 over DS3. That and less meta bs.

Dunno about the "strenght and power" of special weapons in DS1, last I remember you would rarely see any in PVP.
Who is the person in Ray's profile picture? I've wondered for so long.
Mai shiranui
I’m sure it’s been mentioned, but in DS2 the damage number that pops up is unfortunately the last damage applied.
So if something has a multi impact, the damage number is not accurate.
For example, firebombs.
The bomb impacts for X amount of damage, then the explosion happens a couple frames later resulting in only displaying the explosion damage but the impact did damage too.
I had some serious ptsd from that fucking crossbow the pvp nightmare right there
the crossbows reminds me of the Slingshot Channel
How did you buff Ornstein's spear? I'm only allowed to shoot lightning bolts from it when playing SOTFS, and buffs don't work.
DS2 is my shit. Been playing it probably too much recently while taking a break from Elden Ring until DLC comes out. Love this game and all of the innovations it brought.
