Same method I use, however, if you are going to attempt this I recommend washing the joint out with dish soap to remove any oils from the factory and letting the joints dry a lot or blowing the water out with an air duster. If you don't do this the glue won't adhere to the plastic well enough and the joint will still be loose. I also recommend the Locktite flow control glue in the red bottle. The formulation is very strong and long lasting.
Awesome bro!! I have a Jason Figure I need to try this, it's a Neca Ultimate and when I got him outta the package, the joints were super loose. Thanks bro! 👍🏼😬
Yeah, I do this method also for years. You are right, most crucial is moving the joints after glue. You can also try floor wax. You have to let dry for a while. Then it gums up.
+nevert 048613 heat is your friend. Either soak it in warm (not boiling) water or use a hair dryer to soften it up. The caveat here is that I've had one or two figures where something really weird happened and no matter how much heat I apply the joint will not budge. It that case I just exchange the figure for a new one.
Thx a lot for making this video. I'm currently out of super glue but once I get more this will certainly help me with tightening the hips in Big Red, my masked City Hunter and my Toys R Us exclusive unmasked open mouth Jungle Hunter... there's probably a few more but those are just a few for example.
An alternative to this would also be Pledge Future floor wax or any other acrylic based varnish/medium. It might take two or three more coats, but it has a no risk of gluing up the hip totally (though at the cost of possibly needing to apply it again if it wears off)
+Something2day never heard of floor polish being used. I think I've used clear nail polish before and it basically does the same job as super glue if I remember right. I just always have super glue handy because I use it quite often, so it's my go to option.
This is a great technique to fix loose joints but I messed up a couple of Marvel Legends figures when I tried to fix some loose shoulder joints. I won't even dare to try that to my Armored Lost Predator since he's my favorite of them all. I just insert small pieces of folded papers on the hip joints of all my loose Neca figures and it kinda helps especially when you're displaying them on the shelf :)
If after doing this the figure is stained with dry glue (which looks kind of whitish) put some transparent nail polish over the stains, that helped me a lot with the messing over the paint
Hey Outsidetheboxreviews, I was wondering if you have a method for the swivel joint that attaches the wrist gauntlet to the arm. I have recently acquired a Spiked Tail pred, and I have discovered that the cone at the end of the left arm doesn't have enough girth to fit in the wrist's socket, leaving it very wobbly. It's as if they accidentally whittled away too much material when shaping it. Any suggestions?
Aw man, I really hoped you'd do Clan Leader or Scarface, and this video last. Way to string us along with this predator week! :P Also, when you do Scarface, can you show how to maybe get his legs some more articulation? That waist skirt of his hangs too low and it prevents the leg joints that connect to the groin from getting their full movement.
Aw, come on. I can't make it that easy. Clan Leader will be up later today and Scarface tomorrow. I didn't have any issues with his legs besides moving them back, the skirt he has limits that significantly.
+Sam Entertainment it should basically work for any loose joint I can think of. Depending on the style of you just kind of need to think about where you can put the glue where it will make the joint tighter
Good we tip I been trying stands they take up room tho really anoyying when u make posses and then they fall over and 1 hits the other 1 and causes a domino effect lol
Thank you for this method

You should do a review of all your predators thus far
I've reviewed all of them. I have like 75 Predator reviews in a playlist at th-cam.com/play/PL8677615CEB5135E0.html
I meant a review of the whole collection kinda like a quick look
If i had a dollar for every NECA figure i own with loose joints i would have $100. Love my NECA figures but man those joints suck balls.
Can't wait to try this. Only pain point on these wonderful figures. Thanks!
thanks OTBR!! I was having problems with my scar predator

Does this work on the predator 2 figures?
I recently bought spike tail and his one arm joint, bicep swivel, appears to be fused. any advice

Have you ever tried floor polish or nail polish instead of super glue? I heard a lot of good things about floor polish.

Outside the Box Reviews I just got the clan leader predator and the waist just popped off too easily,do you have any advice to make the waist tighten?

I forgot to move the legs and the glue dry so now the legs don’t move I can’t remove the glue
my bad blood had loose hip joints too and no eyebrow ring and he was missing a claw
What if the middle part of the hip that you see with the splits has s crack in it? It’s on a 1/4 scale one that got busted from shipping

Would this work with alien figures also

thank you hope this works!😀
your neca predator figures fall down that high??? awww it hurts me....
Good we tip I been trying stands they take up room tho really anoyying when u make posses and then they fall over and 1 hits the other 1 and causes a domino effect lol
hey can you do in Assassin's Creed Shay Cormac action figure review or all unsubscribe
bullfrog reviews fuck McFarlane bitch!
I use white glue (usually Elmer's brand). It's not as permanent as super glue and will wear out over time, returning the figure to its original state
It's a joke when one has to go through these measures to make your figures move.
I agree. If you have to heat it up or do anything like that, something is wrong with the product.
I belive the predator that you couldn't rember the name of was borg/lost predator.
I have a nice different skin version if your interested
helped
