11:03 Thank you for showing how to *OPEN the bonnet of EQS and iX!* I hate if reviewers are lazy and only parrot the manufacturers claims that it isn't possible or only for authorized personel to do. 👌
It will take me some time to accept that Merc's flagship looks so generic. Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that any form of the S class must look impressive, monumental and stately. The EQS silhouette gives off a bit of the KIA ProCeed vibe. It occurs to me the idea of luxury and prestige is switching from comfort and high quality to tech and big screens and colorful interior lighting. So, I'm old-fashioned again. The interior looks beautiful with it's light tones, but it seems to me, based on the video, the main screen is a bit laggy, especially in the hi-res navigation mode. I guess it's a good first try, but for this price/battery size, it should deliver more. Thanks for the video. Subscribed.
Agree.. The EQS seems to miss the mark in terms of who is the audience for this $160K car. The car is simply too bland and techie and very little feels like something special. For $160K+ the materials should be incredible and the functioning of the controls should make the driving experience effortless. Rolls Royce has a ton of technology in their vehicles as well but they seem to have put more effort into the user experience for the targeted customer. This car does not feel like something that will age well.
@@MarekDrivesENG I agree and I'm not trying to dispute that. What I was left wondering, would a corrupt head of state like to be driven in one of these? Should anything except luxury and opulence compromise a flagship? I don't think so. In my opinion, every other Merc can look like a bar of Palmolive soap; it can be super-efficient and annihilate the smallest wake of turbulence using its long tail and retractable bumper splitter, but not the S range.

Let me ask you, if lexus, hyundai, Kia, tesla had invented the hyper screen would you have criticised those brands, no I don't think so hhhmmmm
Watch my Lexus and whatever else you find appropriate reviews.
You are nay picking, let me ask can you do something more superior than the EQS. Never heard you nay pick on Lexus or Genesis hmmmmmm..
Yes, perhaps because I haven't driven an electric Lexus or Genesis. Also, go back to my Lexus LS and Genesis whatever reviews.
Nice review Marek i really like your way of your sarcastic comments you making on your videos , making laugh. Will you do similar test of the 450+ version of eqs i would like to know the real range of it they say its even better i mean compare them to the EPA results. This car is probably not for city specially in the tiny streets and corners, for big destinations should be great but yea due to your video iam not really impressed of it, i like the "spaceship" interior though!!
Probably no. I waited six months for this car to arrive on the press fleet. With the chip shortage I doubt the PR office in Poland will order another EQS any time soon.
Fdrive cz did a record drive of 853 km in czech republic already.
@@abraxastulammo9940 853 km is even better than the optimistic WLTP results what was their average speed?? if it was 80-90 km then iam afraid iam not impressed its not great i prefer a 600km result with average speed at 120km/h then i will say its ok!!! :))
edit: i saw the video he goes with 90km/h, every car surpass him, sometimes he have go even lower than 90km/h i think i saw like 60km/h, its maybe better to go with bicycle :P , you can see the speed from the window of the car is very low thats why he did that 853 km, with that speed every big battery car can achieve range close to that!!!
@@annampakodimou9197 You are not easily impressed. 😉
Yes, electric cars can go 1000+ km (Kona, Tesla LR) when they are driving very slow under 40 km/h on a controlled track, but this has been done in normal traffic so it should be worth something.
Let's see if Mercedes EQXX does the 600-1000 km at 120 km/h in spring so you can cheer. ☺️
@@abraxastulammo9940 Iam not blaming Mercedes i can cheer them for many things dont worry , i just think its too early to get impressed by electric cars, EQXX will not go in sale just theit technologies will put in future models i doupt it will do 1000km with 120km/h specially if their 1000km is count on WLTP again, but it can go better than EQS, so the future models will be better by all brands as they improve aerodynamics and their batteries. My final conclusion is for now i still prefer Hybrid cars or diesel ones to "eat" many miles with your car :))) ..unless you live in a country with many fast chargers and here in Greece and in other ones sadly we dont :/
What a waste of Money
