    NEXAT revolution is the world’s first complete holistic crop-production system. The basic premise is simple yet disruptive: one for all - all for one. NEXAT combines all the work steps that previously required a wide variety of agricultural machinery into a single system.
    NEXAT: A self-propelled machine for all processing steps:
    - 1 vehicle for all processing steps (minimization of necessary machines)
    - Individual modules for the different processing steps
    - Autonomous operation possible
    - Modules are integrated and not attached (no separate chassis)
    - Ready for the digital age
    - Electric drive
    - Hydrogen operation under development

    The NEXAT project represents a significant leap in agricultural technology, pointing towards the future of farming. It's exciting to see such innovation in action. I'm curious about the specific ways NEXAT is transforming traditional farming practices. What are the most groundbreaking features of this next-generation technology, and how do they address current agricultural challenges? Also, how does NEXAT integrate sustainability and efficiency into its design and function? It’s fascinating to witness the cutting-edge advancements shaping the future of agriculture!

    I suspect that this system will make it difficult for the farmer to improve his profitability until numerous 3rd-party implement manufacturers develop alternative thrashing heads, seed drills, cultivators, sprayers, etc. to attach to the basic NEXAT tractor system. There has to be competition among equipment manufacturers in order to get the sale price (cost) down. Competition is considerable (among equipment manufacturers) of standard tractors, pull-behind implements, and combine harvesters because many different brands and models can be mixed and matched so easily. A farmer does not want to work himself into a corner where he is completely dependent upon any manufacturer (like NEXAT) to provide all of his equipment. That is a very risky position to be in. What if NEXAT charges too much for its machines because they know that the farmer has to buy from them? What if NEXAT has financial problems and either goes out of business or reduces their offering of available implements. For example, the market has to advance to a stage where the farmer can buy the tractor from NEXAT, the seed drill implement independently from John Deere/Case/Gleaner, the thrashing system from John Deere/Case/Gleaner, the combine header from McDonn (or others), etc. Then there will be true competition and the farmer will be faced with less risk.

      The implements are independently made by the other manufacturers like (currently) Väderstadt, Dammann, etc.
      Due to the already high request for the machine, there will be implements from other companies, too. So then you can chose between various drills, cultivators, etc.
      On the other hand, keep in mind that larger farms are mostly Full-line John Deere or CaseIH, which makes your point about dependency to a Single manufacturer pointless.

    • @edschultheis9537
      @edschultheis9537 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moritz2456 This is not the same as a farmer running exclusively John Deere or CaseIH machines. If JD or Case tractors are no longer available, there are are several other brands of tractors that the farmer can switch to immediately and never lose time in the field. However, if the NEXAT tractor is no longer available, all of the farmer's other custom-built equipment (for the NEXAT tractor) is useless because there is no other tractor brand that can replace the NEXAT tractor. Also, JD and Case have been in business for many, many decades (perhaps over 100 years each). On the other hand, NEXAT could turn out to be just a fad. Nobody would be surprised if the NEXAT tractor disappeared in 10 years. If so, what will a farmer do with all of his near-useless custom-built machinery that only fits on a NEXAT tractor?

    *I have a suspicion that this system might pose challenges for farmers in improving profitability until more third-party implement manufacturers create alternative attachments for the NEXAT tractor system. Competition among equipment makers is essential to drive down costs. Farmers don't want to be solely dependent on one manufacturer like NEXAT. What if they charge too much or face financial issues? Leading edge arable agriculture is fast moving towards minimum till or no till systems & cover crops that provide nutrients while preventing soil erosion. It will be interesting to see if this multi use machine can work with that.

Adding to your flex idea they could have the attachments have hinge points in them to flex with the contour of the land. In regards to road transit it’s good in terms of width, but imo the trouble point is going from road to field. In my area here in the US we have road ditches for drainage, so we wouldn’t be able to drive it in in field mode, and your run a good bit of crop over before harvest if you pulled in with road mode and converted. @@hughmarcus1 In the Pacific Northwest, Palouse region of the US, we have been farming almost entirely no-till on our farm for the past 40 years. No-till allows us to mostly eliminate soil erosion on the hills, and it keeps more of the moisture in the ground (rather than evaporating every time it is tilled). It is some of the richest farmland in the US, but there are a lot of steep rolling hills. In the Palouse region many hill sides of 30 - 40 degrees are farmed and a few up to about 45 degrees. This machine wouldn't work in our area though, because the thrashing system on the combine has to have automatic leveling on those steep slopes in order to thrash properly and save most of the grain.

    • @ianrobinson9565
      @ianrobinson9565 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This machine has been designed for harvesting and spraying of large flat areas. From my experience cropping here in Australia 🇦🇺 our working window is more flexible than in the USA. One size doesn't fit all. Minimum till has its place, but the ground does have to be worked up at some stage. I see this machine as another possible alternative to getting the grain crop off the ground and out of the paddock before the afternoon storms degrade the crop.
