We have plenty English speaking comedians tearing it up. It's about time this happened. I don't understand Creole, but it's always great to hear the laughs. God bless him. He might have people out here tryna learn Creole because of his work!

In the 1980s, it was hard to be Haitian in school. I relate to what he said about denying you were Haitian……..then I grew up, and became proud of my heritage. So much thanks to my Mom, who made sure we ALWAYS knew who we were, and where our parents came from. 🇭🇹 🇺🇸

No can take away your bloodline. Many who grew up away from the main culture are in this boat: other Caribbeans, Africans, etc. Those who try to flex on you know they're fronting. Nobody learns a language without practice. And there are things that you still understand being from the culture even when you can't speak the language. That said, y'all are out here in full force and there are ways to learn even bit by bit. E.g. Haitian Creole Language Institute in NYC. (It's also good to minimize pressure on yourself by not announcing to family that you're starting to learn. Then just level up on them. Lol.)

He needs to either translate after saying things in French or just do the whole set in English.
