I was in the same boat. My old one broke and my husband went out and bought this model. I was dying to see what the iced the ice did before I made an iced coffee. Was glad to see this video. Made my ice coffee with the video. I’m low carb so I did my heavy cream, hazelnut coffee k cup, erythritol, sugar free vanilla syrup, and boom my Starbucks at home:) lol

@@JustADad I don’t have specific flavor, I just use reusable cup to brew Dunkin’ medium roast ground coffee, I heard pure coffee is good for health, so I decided not yo use cream and sugar anymore. I used this machine for couple of times, very nice coffee maker. Thanks

After watching your video I realized I'm not using enough ice, everytime my iced coffee tastes watered down and all the ice melts, I'm going to try using much more ice so all the ice doesn't melt! Thanks.

The temperature should be about 20 degrees lower from your maximum temperature to your iced coffee

I actually put ice in my glass then add the K cup THEN I push the ounce button, then the over ice button then the big K. I get any size Iced coffee I want that way. I hope I don't break my machine. lol

I have the same machine but make my iced coffee with a 4 strong lowest heat setting. I fill a wide mouth 16oz mason gar with ice, pour the coffee in after leaves the perfect amt of room left over for a little milk and honey or creamer!

FYI - I just got a new Keurig K-Supreme, the ICED button does not function like this. When ICED it pressed/lit, it disables the ounces & STRONG buttons.

You are correct. When you press the over ice button it does disable everything else. You are doing it correctly.

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.

I just purchased the newest Keurig supreme plus smart coffee maker I know this is a different version but pretty much the same from what I understand. I fill my glass or tumbler about 1/2 full of ice. then brew my iced coffee into it. then add a little milk, then 2 pumps or 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup.

I make my iced coffee by selecting 4 ounce brew, lowest temperature setting and intense flavor setting. Not sure if you have tried this yet or not? I prefer it over the iced coffee setting myself. Also, great idea with the milk 👍

I use this feature with my insulated University of Houston (plastic) glass to make iced tea almost every day. We drink a lot of iced tea here in Texas.

@@JustADad I am a diabetic so I have to have unsweetened tea. My favorite is the Twinings Green tea but the Lipton is O K, too. You can get them at Wal Mart.

Yeah those are hard to find because they hold 16 oz which is unusual for a glass cup. I got those at TJ MAx or home goods
Hello, what does the "over ice" button do exactly?
It brews it at a hot temp at first then it cools the water going through the k cup so it does not melt the ice as much.
I use cream not milk. I should try that next time
So you really don’t need the one with the over the ice button then? Its just a tiny bit cooler brew temp but essentially the same?
Yeah, If you have a Keurig that can brew just 6 oz then it is about the same as the Ice button. The Ice button brews a K cup with less water since you will be adding ice and the ice will melt and dilute the coffee. Thanks for Watching!!!

yes it will do just hot water. If you have brewed a coffee right before the water then the water will taste like coffee. If you do a fresh water rinse first you will be fine.

yes that would be fine,
It would brew 6 oz, however, you don't have the benefit of the water cooling down as it comes through the Keurig.

This feature is pointless if the coffee comes out at 160f and melts the ice anyway might as well do a regular 6oz brew and be able to adjust the strength on it so you get a bolder brew for the ice coffee since the ice waters it down anyway
Why not just use the 6once setting. Over the ice setting is just a gimmick which you should have said. Kuerig paying you?
