Nice video. Good thing to keep in mind is that while it is expensive for a truck, you aren't just getting the truck. You're getting a ton of aftermarket goodies cheaper than you otherwise would have, not paying for the labor that you would have had to pay for if you got those installed by someone else, and you have it all under warranty and ready to go straight from the lot. It isn't for everyone, but personally, I find it worth the money.
You misspoke just a bit at 2:45. I doubt the truck will even let you switch to four low on the fly, but it would never be recommended unless you want to blow up a transmission.
I'm a Toyota person and there is no justification to get the taco over the ranger. For me it's the ranger. The cool TRD seat doesn't cover the difference. Ranger also has more leg space in the back.
Can't wait to get me one of these mid next year, hopefully some of the small quirks like rattling glove box will be worked out by then and prices will correct to the actual demand. Just have to see which color scheme they come out with for 2025.
i think prices on new vehicles are just going to keep going up. im going for the trailhunter for the longer bed and the old man emu. im planning on throwing a camper on the truck and i dont feel like buying a different truck and having to mod it out with aftermarket suspension, tires, snorkel, rock sliders, power brake.
Rho,or raptor I think are better choices. I have a 2022 trd sport. I adjusted the throttle response, dropped a 4k Magnusson super charger in it. Truck after tax 49,000 +4000 =53,000. 371 bhp and about 380 torque. The current trd pro is around 64k. So a $64,000 +mark up let's be conservative and say $5000. P.ush shipping $1500 and tax of what 10.3%. Your over 80k. This truck extremely heavy and that negates the acceleration in it. It's not much quicker then stock. Great truck for around 55k. Tfl did a review on this and was not impressed.
I’m a Toyota nerd, but they are way too expensive for a compact pickup. You can get a nice 1/2 ton for that kind of money. Like I’ve always said. You have to really WANT a Tacoma, because you’re not getting better fuel economy or more space for the same as a 1/2 ton. Especially now, the value isn’t there with the new Tacoma.
Any really but I'd recommend premium for any vehicle if you want it to last.....it's not just the fuel it's the additive package added to it. Not to mention the added performance and efficiency of cleaner burning higher octane.
@@nazspeed1thats a load of bullshit. never heard of a vehicle not lasting just because the owner didn't run it on premium when it wasn't required. lol continue wasting your money if you must.
The new Tacoma still hasnt proved itself so I would say the Tacoma and the Ranger are starting from the same place. In fact you can argue the ranger v6 is less complicated and easier to fix when something goes wrong.
I really like the Tacoma but I don't think they offer any value for the price. I'm not interested in full size truck prices. The Ford Ranger Lariat for $56,500 would make a really nice overall package at a somewhat reasonable price.
As current Tacoma onwer, surely will pick Ranger over the 24 Tacoma. Too bad Toyota thinking they are high end or Luxury truck compare to others. Sorry Toyota.

Very well said!
I’d love another taco, but dang & dadgum those prices…
💰
I’m a Toyota/Lexus guy and I’m going with the Ranger Raptor here.

Appreciate the feedback!
I’ll never support ford again. They sold out and donated millions to Biden.
They also ran “our trucks are super gay” ads all over yt

Let us know when you get it!
great review … I think I would get the limited model as I like the full time all wheel drive feature.
Thanks!!!! That’s a solid choice, Sean.
Neither! How about a 20 year old Ranger and a Tacoma…bulletproof…old is gold.
I’ll get the Taco 🌮
🌮
If that price doesn't go down i might have to wait till next year untill it stabilizes 65k i might just buy a ranger raptor for less...
👀

charming despite the weather
Thank you, James! Winter just couldn’t stay away in early April.

I was so looking forward to getting one of these. The price is way too high.
$65K starting price! No way.
Maybe I missed it, does it require premium fuel or will regular suffice.

I've been watching a lot of new Tacoma videos and I still haven't seen a comment excited to buy it lol
What's the longevity going to be with the Max?
Good Q!
after tax, almost 100k for a mid size truck. omg 100k u have toooooooo much choose.
Neither. I’ll take the V6 Frontier 😊
👀
No one can afford these anymore cuh 👍🏾
He Likes BIG Buttons and he can not Lie.... 🙂
Haha
For the money you could even get a ranger raptor

Fully loaded Lariat only at $52,000 the most! Great value. 👍👍👍
Neither…5k more for a RHO
Too overpriced.

Overpriced!!!!
1230lb payload 🤡
After a Taco transmission fiasco at TFL and many others, Ranger all day!
👀
It wasn’t the transmission. It was the front differential but I see your point.
@@martin4749 Another excuses fan boy.
They've had problems with the ranger in Australia too.
