I have the SP3000 and the AK PA10 portable amp. I'd love to be able to pair the SP3000 with something a bit more powerful with a crossfeed function. I don't like the built-in crossfeed on the DAP itself. The AK PA10's crossfeed is excellent, but it's not incredibly powerful. Any suggestions?
It would be better if you talked a bit about how it interacts with Android software.... Will I still be able to run EQ and volume adjustments from my onkyo hf player app (for example)...?
Hi can I ask you a favour please? Which one would you prefer for Sundara between this one and the Gryphon? Is this a good device for Hifiman Sundara or I will miss Xspace and Xbass features? Is this device "too much" for Sundara headphone? Will I miss some bass coming from Hifi zen bundle HFM and hip dac 2 (both with Xbass and Xspace). Is there too much difference between the Sundara level and Diablo level or I will benefit anyway from upgrading to Diablo? (I can have it at good price). Please help me in the choice. Thanks. is very good... I moved on the senn hdvd800 amp as the Diablo had 'that sound'. Listening to Blue Man Group in a local national park, 'loud', certainly made a few joggers' smile, but probably not as much as the smile on my dial when 'Your Attention (Please)' was playing, properly, a chorus of voices around me....
The original Diablo was quite a bit warmer than the Micro SIgnature in terms of sound. The current Diablo-X is closer to the Micro signature, but we find it to be much more detailed/resolving.

Gryphon, fully balanced circuit via 4.4mm as In Diablo?
No, it does have a balanced output, but it does not have the full separation of the right and left channel that you get with the iFi Diablo.

The stand we put the Diablo on is actually from Astell&Kern and for their DAPs, but they don't sell them as far as we know. 😕

Ok why df a dac needs usb 3 like dose it transfer more then 40 mbs off deta?
It doesn't noted to be USB 3, iFi just feels it's a more sturdy connector. You do not need a USB 3 cable for the faster transfer speeds.
