Actually, no! In the "Wonderful Spring of Mickey Mouse" (the D+ exclusive Paul Rudish shorts,) Mickey's a hoarder, and among the objects and memories he's most attached to is his Prince crown. We even see a memory version of Prince Mickey wearing it! :D
Seriously why the heck did they completely forget this movie? The trailer was on every TV in America… OK maybe not every TV I'm just saying this from my perspective when I was a kid when I saw it.😅 But it was a good movie, why not bring it up again?
@@m.v.p.knight that is true, but the next generation needs to know about this as well. It wouldn't kill them to show it on Disney Channel every now and then. It almost feels like they might be ashamed of it for some reason… That's just my opinion, but why Not show it again?
@@m.v.p.knight well I wouldn't say all of it, some of the cartoons aren't bad at all take Haley's on it. I like the dynamic of it and they keep a lot of the slap taken shenanigans at the right level for a cartoon… But some still need work..... a lot of work
@@Ani8900 Yeah, the cartoons on Disney Channel tend to be a lot better than the live action shows. Well, at least it was like that the last time I checked. I haven't paid much attention to the live action stuff on Disney Channel for a long time. What I do know is that The Ghost and Molly McGee was pretty good and that's a cartoon. I have seen Hailey's On It. In my personal opinion, there were some funny episodes, but the romance part was a disaster. Hailey passes up every opportunity to make it happen with Scott despite the fact that they keep saying the future is doomed if she doesn't. I might think Hailey's On It needs a little constructive criticism, but I see it's merit and I'm glad you like.
@@m.v.p.knight What's weird about that animation mistake is that I don't think you'd see it (or at the very least it wouldn't be as noticeable) if it was cropped in the 4:3 aspect ratio. But at the same time I can't say this was made with that format specifically. After all, this did play with Rescuers Down Under as a double feature of sorts and they both were made in the 16:9 aspect ratio (or letterbox as some called it back then). Maybe it was made to suit both aspect ratios because this did end up on VHS not too long after the theatrical release, which is probably why they let that error slide because it goes by so fast and probably won't be noticed in the cropped version
@@MegaAnimationFan If I'm not mistaken, the Rescuers Down Under wasn't a big success, so it could be that when they made the VHS version of the Prince and the Pauper, they didn't want to put in the extra effort to fix it because they felt like they had wasted enough time and money already.
The King's last words sound like something Walt would've said to Mickey before he died. 8'c
The Last time this short was acknowledged was in the queue of Mickey & Minnie’s runaway railway at Disneyland and Mickey’s calendar in epic Mickey.

2:43 Absolutely warranted, I agree. Mickey is being an absolute menace
Thank you for warranting me.

If it's any comfort, at least WE will remember The Prince and the Pauper.

3:36 that’s the weirdest animation error in this cartoon
I agree. I couldn't see anything to compete with that level of weirdness.
