Wonderful instruction! Lilacs are a favorite memory.
Yes they are!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I created my mom's Mother's Day gift from it!!
I accidentally left a mark of paint on my paper so I just made it into another flower as if it hasn’t been put in the jar yet!
awesome idea
😂 it happens a lot
So pretty! 💜
Thank you! Cheers!
Lovely. Thanks

@@deWintonPaperCo I'm very new to watercolours and would love some advice on what brushes to buy. Can you advise please.
Great tutorial.
Glad you liked it!
You’re brilliant! Thank you for sharing your talent, time, and advice. I’m a beginner still, but your videos give me confidence to keep practicing.
You are so welcome!
I liked your easy to follow instructions. No rambling. Thank you.
Ah thank you!
I could smell those lilacs! Thank you so much.
So nice of you
I love to see your art. I am also trying❤
Great!
Thank you! I just started painting, I’m typically a creative person. I love to crochet and make DIY buy have never painted. And I am absolutely awful at drawing, I have always wanted to try painting. Was a bit nervous, since I can’t draw. I meant to buy oil paint but accidentally bought watercolor. This tutorial was great for a beginner that has literally never painted in there life! My painting came out great :) thank you!
You are so welcome!
Great instruction! Thank you for discussing how wet or dry an area is and moving about. I have an issue with patience in drying or how dry and adding pigment and/or water. Also, thank you for showing which brush, blending on ur palette and when you clean ur brush. Those nuances really help!! 💜
You’re so welcome!
Same here lol. I'm like do I really have to wait to let it dry? Instant regret when I don't
Very beautiful ❤️
Thank you! Cheers!
One of the best tutorials I've watched in a while. You are an excellent instructor!

Your skin is so beautiful and glowing!
Ah thanks Bekkah! That’s made my day. I have had eczema on my face since the pandemic started and it’s been quite challenging to show my face sometimes so thank you x
It seems so easy, but… it is really lovely. I will certainly try it. Your way of loose warercoloring is wonderful!
Thank you!
Love this …. Brilliant…. But keep it even easier if possible. Im bad at this w no natural talent so the easier the better please. Thanks so mych. Gave u a thumbs up
Your lilacs are lovely and I also want to comment on the vase. This is one of the best glass vases that I have seen on TH-cam and I have been wanting to learn how to paint a glass vase. So I will be practicing your tutorial ❣️❣️
Ah Wendy thank you!
@@deWintonPaperCo I had s very satisfying result with my glass jar🥰
And I put an autumn pink hydrangea (based on one in my neighborhood) in it, using your method for hydrangeas as in your recent tutorials. Super happy with how the painting turned out ❣️
Guess who is placing an order for your book!
Beautiful 💓
Thanks Ambika!
The glass jar is what I needed to learn. I stink at florals but these look much softer and simpler. Might try them. Thank you Harriet.
Wonderful Marlene!
Thank you so much. I just bought your book and am determined to learn to paint which I have never tried before. Your youtube channel is really useful.
Thank you so much!
Lovely. Thank you. X
Thanks Margaret!
This is my favorite flower. Best video of lilacs I have seen on TH-cam. Wonderful and beautifully done
Ah thank you that really means a lot because I sometimes worry about doing my own versions of flower tutorials that are already on TH-cam in many different ways
I am SO pleased to have found your channel. I have tried and backed away, discouraged, from botanicals more than once because of the level of detail I could not achieve at my skill level. Your botanicals have a loose and suggestive quality that manages to accurately depicts the flower. With your videos and attention and practice, I feel hopeful that I may at last be able to paint flowers that make me happy. I so appreciate your style and relaxed manner! I will be getting your botanical book and am considering Patreon. Thank you so very much for investing all the time and effort that are required to teach others this amazing medium!
Ah Laurel I'm so glad you found us too! Thank you so much for watching and getting involved!
Beautiful
Thanks Jennifer!
We have lilac bushes that bloom near where I live. The scent is divine and they are so lovely. Thank you.
How wonderful!
I watch your tutorials bit so far I haven’t given them a go! I think they are a bit more than i can do, but I think I’ll have to jump in and see how one turns out!!
Ah sally, do have a go if you can and I promise you won’t regret it
@@deWintonPaperCo Thank you for you encouragement, I’ll go for it!
Actually awesome 👏🤩😊
Ah thanks so much
Oh my goodness. How absolutely lovely. I loved doing this. Not as good as you but hey, I loved trying. Still a huge beginner,.
You can do it!
Very nicely done ma'am.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you and I love the way you do the leaves also. I don't know why I struggle with leaves
Just keep painting and experimenting!
Excellent🥺🥺😍😍😍so much cute🌹
You are so kind
Tanckyou Is very very beatiful!!!❤️

Toll!!👍👍👍 Morgen versuchen ich auch!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thanks!
Wow😍
Thanks!
Прекрасно!
Thanks!
So beautiful, Harriet. I will try that.
Today I painted Pumpkin Patch from your last year's video. And it got out so very nice. I am painting a lot more since I got to your video's. How nice is that then. Thanks for that. Bye for now.
Oh lovely!
Thank you so much for this tutorial which you make look so simple! I am new to your account and have subscribed and hope to learn more from you!
Thanks for subbing!
Looooovelyyyyy!
Fantastic! Plenty to be getting on with!
Thanks
Thanks!
wow
❤
My favourite watercolour channel! i loved this tutorial and my piece came out awesome! Lilacs are my favourite flower
Thanks so much Emie!
Nice
Very nice
I just received your brushes that I ordered and this was my first painting I made with them. Wow what a difference they make! They are so much more “responsive” than what I’ve been using, so thanks for saying which size brush you use!
I need to practice the vase some more. Do you have other tutorials that work on that as well. Also any suggestion on color substitute without Prussian blue. I mixed Layne’s grey with burnt sienna but for the darker area just used a diluted paynes grey.
Glad you like them!
This is so beautiful, Harriet. Thanks you so much for sharing this. May I ask, is this watercolor paper used here 100% cotton or is this the Daler Rowney paper?
It’s daler rowney!
Beautiful Harriet , lovely lilacs Thank you x
Thanks so much Amanda!
