Thanks General Shiba...I have been looking for this type of information "in-game" and thought I just couldn't find it. It's hard to believe a game developer takes the time to build such a strategic game that offers a PvP mode and doesn't take the time to just give us some basic information.
Just a small note, when you were saying that the units had AT grenades and AT mines, for the Americans those are the same thing. The light AT mine is what they use as an AT grenade. I personally have found great success with the various bazookas with the Americans so I actually find some of the lesser squads to be really useful like the 1st armored or veteran rifle. They have less base equipment so I can funnel them bazookas and rockets at the end of missions from my bazooka detachments. Once you get into the deeper parts of the tech tree, each individual soldier carries a lot more gear that often times is situational useful. A bazooka and extra ammo is almost universally useful.
I didnt know that there you go 😂 I'm a big fan of bazookas in squads good call mate, I do like having a whole bunch of equipment like smoke grenades though, I fond it quite handy 👌
im very surprised you didn't mention that the 1st special combat section has a radio operator and a flare gun for a small mortar strike. The squad itself probably isn't better than the 101st airborne but the mortar strike is cool imo.
I highly recommend you watch the US Military Training Films from WW2 because they're used to educate new recruits and I used the training films as a guide. Also there's different variants of the M1 Carbine and Tommy/Thompson SMG plus the US has a shotgun in the unit library but I don't know if you can use it in the game. I'm honestly going to watch those training films on TH-cam for free.
ill have a look! That is true, I didn't see a unit with a trench gun in the conquest so perhaps its only available on multiplayer? Its cool watching the old training clips I watched one the other day showing German infantry tactics and how the US countered it.
@@projectlessweforget Ive found defensive tactics can be implemented kind of like real life but offensively it doesnt really work due to the insane micro and brain dead AI 😂
@@GeneralShiba_ Maybe it's just me but I implement the Offensive Tactics from the Training Films to great effect. Like for instance I would leave a squad behind a position and I would have another squad advance ahead of the squad I left behind. The squad that's positioned behind the advancing squad would provide suppressing fire until the advancing squad gets in position and I have the squad that was supporting the advancing squad be the next advancing squad. Both squads would take turns being the supporting squad and the advancing squad.
@@projectlessweforget ahh yes leap frogging, I do this quite a bit I just implement it cover to cover, its quite fun to do through the streets on the new maps. I've been using the MG to suppress down a road while my guys run up, its actually quite effective!
The M9A1 Bazooka had a basic telescope sight while the other models had 3 fixed iron sights for different ranges. Aside from that, the differences come in the trigger system and handgrips. In my game, I skipped them entirely and rushed out the M10 Wolverine for anti-tank.
Hey General i actually found you on reddit helping with different posts and you had the exact type guide I was looking for, just bought liberation and was looking for some info on the units, especially since im already down a battle in conquest with them lol.
@@GeneralShiba_ I'm starting out on Dynamic conquest as Americans and on day 3 or 4 I find that by the time they get a Stug or Panzer 3 out I'm having trouble with them As well as on defense missions where they just come with overwhelming forces like last night I had a pretty good defense for a while I think until I lost the first point and had to fall back to the 2nd. Well at the 2nd came the wave after wave of armor from the Germans and even with the captured Paks, Leig and Late M1 AT gun it wasn't enough. Maybe my positioning for my weapon teams needs work but by the time they get good armor it becomes a slog. Thanks In advance.
@@sativa-sloth6099 the easiest way to do a conquest is to go straight for good tanks. If you like a more infantry focused style like myself though AT infantry everywhere is good. If you start taking losses by a tank drop your guys behind cover, throw smoke and draw the tank close. Then you use AT guys to kill it. I find its handy to put infantry all over the place for map vision as well, gives you time to react once a tank does come. On defense I like to defend around the point not on it, gives you time to collapse and hold the point longer, can be the difference between winning or losing. Also positioning is really important. Defend the map, you dont need to AT gun to be on he point, you can put it a grid square away over looking an important part of the map with some inf around it. :)
