I have huge respect for Sridhar. Nowadays i am also becoming fan of Mr. Kamakoti of IIT madras and Ms. Nirmala SeethaRaman.
Definitely, their simplicity, hardwork, and down-to-earth qualities are really contagious.

When Narayanamoorthy, Nandan and Wipro kind of companies are busy earning millions from Urban vities, Sridhar is the only CEO who went to Urban Tier 2,3 cities to empower Rural people. He is also building schools in such cities to create future innovators.

You are very correct. My younger brother was having so many health problems during his infancy. Hence he was named as Vembu and by God's grace he recovered miraculously.
Oldendays due to lack of medical facilities in villages nd.small towns.nd.v.early marriage women used to loose newborn (home delivery). Then next child will be named as pitchai etc.meaning god's gift.this is

Vembu or margosa or neem tree is stated to cure many diseases though its parts are bitter. The leaves of neem trees are a favourite decoration of devotees of Kali - a transformation of Shakthi or Parvati. Hence in order to receive the grace of Shakthi for the good health of an ailing child my parents christened him as Vembu. I believe there is no more explanation needed for Mr g.k,nataraj.

I had an opportunity to be alongside with Kumar & Sekar in CS Dept, IIT Madras during 1995/1996and I got a chance to interact with Sridhar during that time in that Lab. It was very impressive

Yes. He usually doesn't do such interruptions but in this interview he was interrupting very often and many such times he was not even letting Sridharji to complete his point. Maybe he was too excited.

வணக்கம், ஶ்ரீதர் வேம்பு மற்றும் பாண்டே அவர்களே. Thanks for this interesting interview. Just wanted to register Tally is not just an accounting software. It's an ERP with varied functionalities required for businesses. Tally வெறும் அக்கவுண்ட்டிங் சாஃப்ட்வேர் என்று சொல்வது சரியல்ல. அதுவும் ஒரு ERP தான். வேறுபாடுகள் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால் இது போன்ற நேர் காணலில் தகவல் சரியாக கொடுக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
அந்தக் காலத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு குடும்பத்திலும் நிறையக் குழந்தைகள் பிறந்து, அவர்களில் ஒன்றிரண்டு பேர் சிறுவயதிலேயே இறந்து போய் விடுவார்கள், இன்றைக்கு இருக்கும் நவீன மருத்துவ வசதிகள் இல்லாததாலும், வறுமையாலும். ஆகவே, பெற்றோர்கள் தம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு 'குப்புசாமி', குப்பன், பிச்சை, 'வேம்பு, 'கருப்பன்', 'கருப்பையா', 'மண்ணாங்கட்டி' என்றெல்லாம் பெயர் வைப்பதுண்டு.

Mr. Vemby confuses between '96 and 2006 a lot.. all this was prior to 2000 so his 2006 reference is incorrect..proud that his comoany is one of the few startups from pre 2000's era that is still standing strong!
