I think he should of had at least 3 more 1. With Lucina 2. With Xander 3. With Elise Lucina because they're cousins, and Xander/Elise so they could mention Odin more Owain and Lucina could talk about the future world they live in and talk about some of the other child unita such as Inigo, or Severa. Owain could have a similar conversation to Ryoma with Xander and at the end he could mention Laslow being friends with someone lile Owain. Elise could be really into the idea of Owain's role-playing and could mention her brother's retainer.

Yes, the characters from fates (niles and Leo for example) are from a different dimension and from the future. They know of Owain after he traveled to that dimension and changed his name to Odin.
The thing is, if you assume he's been taught by Lissa a bit of magic, I could easily see him becoming the Trickster class and using a Levin sword along with rods, it make him the groups second healer, really good mid-range option, give Lucina's group a sorely needed lockpicker, and lets be real, if he did go Swordmaster for a while before hand, think of a Trickster that focus's Magic stat with Speed and has Astra using a Levin sword, stuffs wack as hell!
