I have spent so much money on lens, and feel that it’s the least return for my investment. Sure I get to keep them forever but no one would ever know what I shot with if I didn’t mention it first. Like you mentioned in your video it’s very subjective and there’s no clear winner. Thank you very much.
I’m not a fan of these lenses due to the noticeable astigmatism and overly streaky flares, which lack the oval bubble look many prefer. The overall image quality feels subpar to me. While they’re budget-friendly, I wouldn’t spend $4-5K on a set. In comparison, the Viltrox Epic lenses stand out with minimal focus breathing, sharpness wide open, and smooth focus falloff-on par with higher-end cine lenses like the Zeiss CP3 or Tokina Vista Primes. Their 1.33x design mimics the look of 2x anamorphic lenses, similar to Hawk Anamorphics. Even Greig Fraser (Dune) has praised them.
Great Video thanks for the insights.
Thank you I’m glad that you like it 🙂

You’re welcome. Generally Lenses are a better investment as a camera since you can use the over a longer period.
I wish I could try this lenses with GHseries like Gh5s, Gh6, Gh7...
You can, just get a PL adapter or install the EF mount on the lens and use a Speedbooster:)
@@pauleporterdp I said GH series, kid... * :)
If I may ask which adapter are you using for the Blazar lens to the camera?
For which camera do you mean?
Not really a fan of those lenses. Personally I would rather go for the Viltrox Epic.
I haven’t tried them. How do they differ?
