This is such a flimsy argument..Palestinian is a recent moniker for the arabs of palestine, whose history in Palestine, goes back to the rise of islam 1500 years ago. The Arabs of the middle-east all got their own independant states after world war 2, EXCEPT for the palestinian arabs who got tents and cinder-block concentration camps and who are still controlled by israel or tolerated as third-class stateless residents of neighboring arab states. ....Just because they didn't use the identifier ''Palestinian'' doesn't mean their ancestors didn't live in the territory that is now Israel. The Dome of the rock was built in the 600s and the Al-Aksa mosque was built in the 700s..these structures are not merely mentioned in the historical record..they exist to this day..and they're a lot more substantial thana few unearthed hebrew coins and discarded pottery. Don't deny their long-standing presence in the Holy land using a semantic trick. Their claim to at least a portion of the land, based on a 1500 year presence, is just as valid as that of a people who lived there 2000 years ago and who were largely absent from the land for 1800 years. (1st century AD to 1884 AD) . The Palestinian arabs didn't take the land from the Jews...who had already left the land when the Muslims took it from the Eastern Romans (the Byzantines)

Being from an academic background I spent hundreds of hours reading pro-Hamas websites, listening to leading pro-palestinian channels, watching numerous videos. In almost every speech / webinar / discussion / interview / documentary Classic 120+ year old CLASSIC ANTI-SEMITIC TROPES are employed to “strengthen” so many of the pro-Palestinian arguments:
I cannot explicitly write out “Classic” Anti-Semitic Tropes and Narratives because of TH-cam algorythmn key-word automatic comment removal, but I am sure you are aware of these centuries old Tropes and Hate Speech Anti-Jewish Slander Narratives regarding being: “dishonest, evil deceitful, cunning, manipulative, disloyal, materialistic, greedy, two-faced, entitled” and “Classic” 1930s Germany antisemitic beliefs that the Victims of the Holocaust “provoked” the Nazi Ideology in WW1 and “they started of WW2”, “they were kicked out of hundreds of countries including in Europe (historic falsehood not that many countries and that was centuries ago) so they “had to “ethnically remove” t the Palestinian locals”. And that they were “granted” Israel due to “playing the victim after the Holocaust even though “only 1milliom perished” . All Classic Anti-Semitic Holocaust Denial talking points.
Oh and of course “they” were allowed to “steal Palestine” because “they Secretly Run the World” and “Owm Global Banks”. Again, these are all Classic Anti-Semitic slander hate speech myths about the Jewish People.
Not to mention Pro-Palestinian protests and events are full of Coded “Dog Whistle Slogans” promoting and gloryfing the October Attrocites, or denying murder of civilians, mass R00pes of Israeli women at Nova , cheering over the slain bodies of Jewish civilian victims etc. which IS undeniably Anti-Semitic.
Also numerous Muslim anti-Semific hate speech hate speech myths e.g. about. Jewish people being morally evil which is again, Hate Spech.
And the nation who was victimized in the Holocaust is “was not “Really” Genocided in WW2 because they “always play the victim” and that my friend, you guessed it, is another Antisemitic Trope..
      With Holocaust Denial narratives..
I could go on and on.
It would be somethimg TOTALLY SIFFERENT if the Pro-Palestine arguments did not include the barrage of anti-semitic myth fodder mentioned above.
Also need to add that listening to Jewish / Israeli documentaries /podcasts etc I also heard anti-Muslim hate speech: “uneducated, primitive, barbaric, unwise, unintelligent, lazy, ungovernable, aggressive, terrorism “prone, uncivilized, extremism loving, violence loving, etc.
I am against bombings of tunnels in Gaza but have absolutely no idea what could be done to stop terrorist attacks, prevent October Repeated, and end non-stop bombing of the Iron Dome.
I have zero idea what would solve the war/ conflict and I am depressed and terrified. This podcast added to that pessimism and depressed state but I am grateful to have learned so much about what is happening in Canada.

The tragedy is that two well-educated Canadian Jews can’t speak to each other about the war in Gaza. I’m specifically referring to Gad Saad and Gabor Mate. Saad has a traumatic personal history regarding Muslim antisemitism in Lebanon. As a doctor focusing on trauma, Mate has a perspective on what the Palestinians have been experiencing as a result of military law imposed by Israel. They are both in Canada, not the Middle East, and they can’t speak to each other. If such people can’t try to understand and resolve the issue, what hope is there? And why be surprised that the war in Gaza fuels antisemitism in the larger less informed and therefore easily propagandized Canadian community?

For the record, I prefer Israeli society to that of its surrounding Muslim neighbours. After two thousand years of Jewish and European interaction, Israel is more similar to the West than anyone else in the area.

But Freud made an insight that is still relevant today. Based on his familiarity with European mythology and countless meetings with intact Europeans. He concluded that the Jewish tradition of circumcision was the root cause of antisemitism. Centuries before Christianity ancient Greeks considered ancient Jews primitive and barbaric because of this tradition.
Today, the West and Israel vilify the Palestinians for similar traditions. Specifically: FGM, the murder of homosexuals, forced unhealthy female body covering, and rape (also within marriage).

Really, the Arabs there do not have claims to the land. Most came at the beginning of the 20th century to work for the British. They come from the Arabian peninsula. When Israel left Gaza, billions in International aids were poured into Gaza and could have been used to build a beautiful country.
