I designed my own keyboard, and I was very happy with it.

The key switch spacing on a typical keyboard is generally 19.05mm, but I have always felt that the key spacing (key pitch) is too wide.
So I designed my own keyboard with narrower key switch spacing, manufactured the PCB at PCBWay (www.pcbway.jp/), and assembled it.
The keyboard I designed by myself is easy to use and I am very attached to it.
The resulting keyboard has the following features
- Narrow pitch key layout for easy fingering.
- Split keyboard to reduce shoulder strain when typing.
- Baklight LED support for a cool look
- Bezel-less and minimalistic design is simple
- Thin and light, so it's easy to carry around
If you've assembled a few homemade keyboards, I suggest you give designing one a try!
